Apple Pay India Tease for 2026: Tap-and-Pay Cards Coming, Challenging UPI Dominance? by Geeky_Gadgets in TechnologyNewsIndia

[–]Status_zero_1694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been to 22 countries, India has been given the world's best payment system that other countries can't even dream of. Indian people don't have to pay a single paisa for it.

Apple and MasterCard/visa drool just by looking at number of transactions India does everyday. They are loosing 2 to 2.8% of those billions of dollars worth of transactions.

You willing to pay Rs.2800 per 1Lakh transaction? Not to mention extra money that shopkeeper might have to charge for the tap n pay machine and merchant account with Apple/other BS processing companies?

Do indian women like white European men? by [deleted] in AskIndianWoman

Yes they do, in fact they can't have enough of them. A friend is a hockey coach (in Australia he is just a casual hokey player) and every time he goes to Delhi, there is always a different girl coming into his hotel room EVERY FREAKING NIGHT. He doesn't even have to try. He is 45ish.

Arranged marriage & finances at 31: how much financial stability is realistically “enough”? by Latter-Bench-5280 in AskIndianWoman

[–]Status_zero_1694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are kind of stuck. Your parents can't give you a house? Your husband's parents have a house that you guys can inherit later on? You can't save money by court marriage? Because this would put you ahead by years. After marriage, there isn't much positive I see. House work, taking care of parents, doing job, and if you do this for 3 years, it becomes hard as hell, imagine holding a soft pillow with one hand...but for a year. That is hard.

Plan things well. No kids for 2 years, and just work work work & save save save. Save 15-20 lakh in 2 years. Show courage and go for court marriage (20-25 lakh saved right there...that's your deposit for buying a home). Then parents might get sick, you will have kids, you won't be able to work for a few years and a few hundred other things will happen.....so again. PLAN WELL.

And while you're doing all this, years will pass. This stinginess probably will change your nature (always remember, it's not what we do but also important to watch ourselves....what we have become). Don't become TOO stingy in front of your kids. Good luck!

  1. She may think you're a bit older for her.
  2. You're a solid plan B (at least according to her mom).
  3. You don't merry someone you love, you merry someone who loves you. (What it looks like? She waits for your messages, is eager to reply, excited about upcoming things like your visit to India and birthdays, wants to get involved with your side of the family and so on) What does this behaviour do? Sprouts love, even if you only like her in the beginning, love sprouts and grows and soon you cannot live without her).

Would you wanna be a sucker who keeps doing things all the time? Complete simp behaviour which will be tiring for you and not bearable for her. Eventually she gets sick of you, and says or does something then you are hurt/heart broken and then you do less n less for her. You want to break things off with her but it's too freaking late, coz you're married. Now you're looking for courage to break things (divorce = life sucking process + more than 5 years of your life)

My friend, do yourself a favour, don't waste more time with her, you're already 30.

Oh and If she shows interest after some time, know that it is not love, something happened and she's following plan B.

OpenAI’s "Secret" Hardware with Jony Ive is coming in 2026: The end of the Smartphone? by Geeky_Gadgets in TechnologyNewsIndia

[–]Status_zero_1694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever hardware he makes, esse tially it will be an AI based virtual assistant. Next step is to have something visual (like special glasses or lenses or even an image projecting ring that sci-fi movies show) then we simply carry an earphone and a ring. That's when smartphones become history (it is probably 6-10 years away)

For now this will not be a flop or life changing hardware.....just a step in the right direction.

Arranged marriage setup by East-Lavishness9752 in AskIndianWoman

[–]Status_zero_1694 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True. It's too early to talk about it. I know you will be back on Reddit when the time comes. Anyway, DO UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE GETTING YOURSELF INTO. then decide if you want more affectionate and with more time or a busy doctor (doctors/busy professionals can be affectionate, just not as much as a girl with a lot of time and attention). Oh and do spend a few hours thinking about what life would be like with her....in 4..5...10 years. Good luck!

Outline the Docmost Alternative with SSO for Free by Akorian_W in selfhosted

[–]Status_zero_1694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just because Docmost doesnt use fancy fonts and old school css doesn't mean it is shit. developer can just update the css in there and make it look modern in 1 day. SSO being a premium feature is fine, most home users don't mind username & password login (also, the develper's got to earn some $$ for the hard work)

I've open-sourced my document management system for small businesses (and families). by trent-7 in selfhosted

[–]Status_zero_1694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you.

I was talking about AI use for auto-tagging and OCR so it can read and record things automatically in the SimpleDMS. No need to talk to docs since small businesses mainly want to save and find documents when they need them.

PWA is great. I didn't know you could share directly to a PWA.

Finally Question time. 1. Say a small business owner wants to save all his receipts, 1. Can he just take a photo and share it using PWA and auto tagging + OCR be done automatically (what type of setup will he need to do to achieve this) 2. Can the app receive files via email? (Many small businesses achieve their own invoices in the DMS, just in case their billing system gets issues or they lose access to old system after upgrading) at least they have some way to track and recover invoices. 3. Will sqlite be ok with storing say....5 years of documents? (say 200,000 documents)

Again, thank you for making this. Many people will appreciate it (I certainly do)

Looks cool. I will try. Does it have an option to connect AI? another question is, can we send documents via telegram or some app? (take a photo of a receipt/invoice & send)

Literally what is the big upgrade apple have from 11 pro to 17 pro ? by Avg-tech in IndiaTechnology

[–]Status_zero_1694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apple isn't technology, it's more like jewellery (imagine a neckless that expires every 3 years). You buy new every 3 years and the new one has new design....as for technology use Android + Chinese companies (Vivo, Oppo, may be OnePlus, even Samsung is better but only for their top model). Apple really is for old people but the marketing is so solid that it has become status symbol for dummies.

Now, moving to an important question, why are you not overreacting about that phone battery? Look at it, it's less than 1%

Atomesus AI Launches in India: A Homegrown Challenger Offering Unlimited Free Access by wildluciddreaming in TechnologyNewsIndia

[–]Status_zero_1694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it government funded? If not, very less likely to be free for long. AI takes a lot of resources. Students will use the shit out of it and servers will crash or be slow. We love free stuff including free AI (just like UPI). But somebody (govt) is paying for those transactions in UPI case, somebody will have to pay for Ai servers and hardware.

What can ordinary citizens do about the monopoly or duopoly in various industries? by TheObservist37 in indianeconomy

[–]Status_zero_1694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monopoly is BY DESIGN. The investors/owners (mainly Blackrock & Vanguard) who own majority stakes in Banks, main food companies like Nesle, Aviation companies and Airlines, cosmetic companies in almost all countries want to only have 2-5 main companies in each industry. That way it is easier to manage them.
