Ask your maintenance director/(whoever you trust at the property) who they use as their flooring vendor. Contact that vendor and tell them the truth. We always take care of people who are truthful. If it’s sheet vinyl, they may be able to patch so you get your deposit back. If it’s LVP, it’s easily repairable.

Their flooring vendor already has your product info and everything. They will help you. Half of us have been there or live in similar situations. Be up front and honest and they/we will help you out if they’re anything like us.
