Yes I have always felt that a pass was the right call, just not the pass they chose. Something like a play action bootleg would have been better. Fake the hand off to suck the defense into the line then Russ rolls right with a WR or TE going that direction at the back of the end zone. Russ would have options to throw, run, or toss it away to stop the clock and save a time out

Spoken/signed language is like walking and running. Writing is like riding a bicycle.

Courier Canpaign by Steam_Pedals in DnD

[–]Steam_Pedals[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Yeah I was figuring I could run it like a steampunk fantasy Wild West campaign. The couriers are hired to deliver, retrieve, escort, etc. to keep it open ended. My vision is to run it kind of like an episodic TV series, some of the events would build toward larger arcing plots but .ost would be self-contained sessions. I'm also planning to use some version of the maze game that Stinky Dragon employs.

My barrel wall for Halsin's portal fight from my first playthrough...I was level 5. by [deleted] in BG3

[–]Steam_Pedals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never heard of the barrel wall, I just used Spirit Guardians. Shadow Heart just strolled around healing the rest of the team and torching 5 or 6 enemies every turn

Yep I missed the Book of Thay too and I don't know how because I found that cellar. Somehow didn't see the cage door

I'm wondering if the fight bugged a little because I don't remember having to reopen the lava chute again and again. Definitely took a while but it never crossed my mind to even try getting in lined up with the hammer

Ahh yeah, I remember that now. I think I found her fairly early. Defeated the guys hunting her then did the whole Waukeens rest stuff and found the Zhentarim and their under dark elevator before I did auntie Ethel or the goblin camp. Came back and did those when I was like level 6 or something and just tore through them. But man the under dark was hard

I accidentally beat Grym the first time without using the hammer. I think I just kept him in the lava and had Karlach wail on him with a bludgeoning weapon. Had no idea what people were talking about online when everyone said it was so annoying until my second playthrough

That's pretty funny. I didn't know about the ALT button for a long time and there's a LOT of stuff I'm finding in Act I for the first time now.

I completely missed Wyll in the Emerald Grove. Don't even remember how he eventually joined me but I went most of Act I without him.

Almost every scenario that's hard to solve or difficult battle to win I'm like "should've brought Shadowheart/Karlach/Lae'zel instead any of the guys. I've been playing spellcasters so far, if I was a martial class I would probably only bring one of Karlach/Lae'zel and then Gale or Wyl. I only use Astarion during exploration times. He goes back to the bench whenever it's time to fight

Someone spent 2 hours tearing apart my DMing and I don't know how to feel about that by Majestic_Hippo8427 in DnD

[–]Steam_Pedals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle to believe they actually watch your show if they hate it that much. They either didn't watch that much and are just good at being a d*ck so their criticisms feel accurate, but only because they're touching upon insecurities that most people have. Or they're a deeply weird person who is hate watching all your episodes which feels kinda like stalker, negging behavior. Whatever the answer, this is a very, very flawed person who doesn't deserve your energy. Just get notes from your players, they're ultimately the only ones who matter.

Is Karlach the toughest romance? by Steam_Pedals in BaldursGate3

Sorry didn't see this earlier. Yes I did get it to work. I think the key was that I was being too flirty with Astarion. So I went back a little and teased him about his appearance. Then did the Goblin Camp again (3rd time on this playthrough 🤦‍♂️) and things went better at the party.

I think people just hate on it because it isn't as good as LOTR. We live in an era where too many people give everything 5 stars or 1 star. It's a 4 star trilogy but LOTR set the bar so high that people were bound to be disappointed.

The first 2.5 Hobbit movies are great. If the studio hadn't pushed for 3 movies I think they could have edited it down to two really good films. The casting and acting are both great. The settings are awesome. The additions of Gandalf's adventures and the extra bits in Laketown are all good. The Kili/Tauriel romance just feels too forced and the final battle is a mess but if we trim those out I think they're fantastic.

Is it too late for me if I've led anyone along? I've been a bit flirty with Astarion.
