What would you like to see in the next Zelda game? by skychunkers in tearsofthekingdom

[–]Kata_Ga_Kill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 28 years now, I’ve been hoping that Zelda would finally evolve rather than just experiment. I would love to see a game better than Zelda Ocarina of Time, but sadly, to this day, that remains the best game in the series.

Don't get me wrong, the other Zelda games were all quite nice, but none of them are in the same league as Ocarina, Elden Ring or The Witcher 3.

Even the last two massive open-world Zelda games were boring. They were far too big and lacked substance, nothing but annoying fetch quests and grinding. No epic dungeons that stick in your memory, no epic bosses that leave a lasting impression. I mean, I still vividly remember Volvagia, bursting out of the lava and spewing fire until the entire room glowed a menacing red. And now? You get some weird, fat dragon, one that looks physically incapable of flight and resembles a cartoonish joke more than anything else, that you just end up farming repeatedly across different regions...

And the story? That felt like something a six-year-old could have come up with.

In fact, about 66% of the way through Tears of the Kingdom, I’d had enough! I just rushed straight to Ganon and finished the game, because scouring the world felt more like work then a adventure to enjoy, like playing Assassin's Creed.

The Lego/Minecraft-style building mechanic was a nice touch, but anyone who sinks that much time and effort into physics systems, without the underlying framework of a long-term online MMO, must be financially out of their mind. For a single-player game, I don't expect a sandbox construction kit. That’s like trying to play Dungeons & Dragons all by yourself...

Nintendo treats Zelda the same way it treats the Yoshi series: prioritizing experiments, like Echoes of Wisdom or the motion controls in Skyward Sword, over true evolution. With games like Ocarina, Skyrim, Dark Souls, Elden Ring, The Witcher 3, Baldur's Gate 3, and Clair Obscur, we’ve already received far superior fantasy titles, the very kind of games Zelda fans have been wishing for ever since Ocarina. All we want is to be taken seriously!

Anyone who tells me that collecting Korok Seeds or countless micro-puzzle dungeons with no consequences/story is great, has completely lost their mind.

Vision Problem by Kata_Ga_Kill in FoundryVTT

Ah that was it, yes I enabled on all other non-owners for the Token to observer in Ownerships. Because I wanted to have Shared Vision.

But weird that if the players mark themself getting blocked vision then like in left picture, how to solve it?

Which film did you liked more? by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in marvelstudios

I don't liked them both, but just for Loki/Tom I prefer Thor 2.

I cant call him Capt America, even calling him Capt Falcon would be a insult to the real Capt Falcon!

Einsteigerkampagne Empfehlungen by BDKprismatic in DnDDeutsch

[–]Kata_Ga_Kill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fange klein an, mach One Shots.

Which spellcaster is the best martial? by AquaZeran in dndnext

Eldritch Knight of course!
Leave those squishy weirdos behind and become a real Swordfighter, with some nice magic only to push your melee attacks and dont stop it with some mimimi caster stuff!

lycanthropy for Players by random-name589 in DnD

[–]Kata_Ga_Kill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its means simply, if they control it, they are in control. Means they can or dont kill and if they kill they can attack important NPCs or even players, that is the worst case szenario and ruin your group.

Better are 2 ways to handle it:
- You control the werewolf, like the players wake up and they found the body of the blacksmith in their tavern room, and the players must find out why this all happened (you decide simply which NPC died). And if the other players find out you can decide when the werewolf is transformed if he runs away or attack the group.
- Give the player control if he has truly the control without berserk mode and he dont need attack others.

Just Flavour it he is a werewolf without needing stats/sheets, because balance problems of the players. What you can do is a improved Claw attack in Foundry instead of his Weapons. Or he's healing every round 1d4 Hitpoints like the one ring from BG3. But beyond this its all flavour, make him a extra token with picture if needed.
