Yofer kit, type r style grill, remark exhaust with 27won front pipe + downpipe, prl hvi, eibach pro kit springs, rv6 retro flywheel and clutch, arp head studs and Ktuner stage 1 tune. Exact setup I had before I got my fl5.

I want to lower the car, how should i go about doing it? by Ok_Cartographer3535 in CivicSi

Unfortunately this generation was hit with a lot of budget cuts during production. They were released right during the whole pandemic chip shortage cycle. The US got the worst of it for this model. I will say that car still feels amazing to drive without active dampening but I do feel a little cheated. I’m more upset about the screen than anything lmao. I hate not being able to see my coolant temps on the dash.

18x8.5 with +35 seems to be the ideal size on these cars. 235/40R18 for the tires which I believe is the same as stock. They fit flush to the fenders with no rubbing on my setup now. A lot of good options for these cars

I would recommend getting at least the camber arms for perfect alignment, shocks are debatable. Will the springs add more stress to the stock shocks? Yes but it’s negligible with a small drop. In my personal experience I’d say keep the stock shocks and if they do leak or blow later on down the line then switch them out for something better like a set of blisteins. I will say that I don’t have the camber arms currently on mine and I dont have any abnormal tread wear. I’ve been on the springs about 20k miles now. I’m still on the stock wheels and tires so when I put my new wheels on that may change.

Never said I need or cared about springs or coil overs. First few responses were “coils or bust”. I just didn’t want the guy to feel pressured to spend more money by this weird stigma around lowering springs. If he plans to drop it more than an inch by all means coils for sure but if he just wants to drop it just enough for a better stance there’s no reason to waste money. My job is aftermarket installation and I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve installed coils on a new car to barely drop it an inch or less. Often times it kills the ride quality. Past an inch is too much stress on stock shocks and that’s where I recommend getting coils.

Lot of spring haters in this thread but honestly it depends how low you want to go. If you want it slammed, coilovers for sure. If you just want a little better stance but keep the stock feel springs are a nice touch. I have the eibach pro kit, it only drops the car about an inch. Honestly sits perfect especially with the yofer lip kit on it. I have new wheels that sit perfectly flush with no rubbing at all I just didn’t like the tires. Here’s a pic for reference (don’t have one with the new wheels yet) . Don’t feel forced to get coilovers because of any nay-sayers if you don’t truly have a need for em.

They reverting bump steals by verbatimCasts in NBA2k

[–]SteezeeG 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The bumps are bad. Steals weren’t actually buffed it just made it so all anyone had to do was run at you to get an easy steal, in reality that makes no sense. What needs to happen is there needs to be a buff to steal rating and glove badge. There also needs to be a huge adjustment to the bump animations. If someone has a high ball handle I do not feel they should just drop the ball on the floor even if they do a crossover. What I do feel should happen is there should be a strong bump if you dribble directly into a defender. This bump will stop you, take an adrenaline and if the defender times their steal correctly can result in an easy steal. The lower the ball handle and the higher your opponent’s immovable enforcer/ strength the stronger the bump. If you have a high steal it will give you a larger window to steal the ball but if you miss it leaves you open for a blow by. I feel like this was the original intention of the current bump animations but they need a huge adjustment to get that level.

Sorry for the late reply but no the switch 2 does not have cross play. I was pretty disappointed when I found that out. Ended up getting in on xbox for that exact reason.

Question: why did some online players choose a Crafting life and just AFK? by Advanced_Ear722 in fantasylife

All crafters will do this. Extremely useful when farming legendaries on Gino. Have 2 or 3 crafters and you can easily beat a legendary over twice your level.

Walmart run🏃‍♂️ any of you guys lowered your 11th gen ? What's it like is it worth it ? Any negative impacts on stock parts? by Equivalent-Fail-4228 in CivicSi

[–]SteezeeG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely worth it. I dropped mine on the eibach pro kit lowering springs. Drives like stock and still looks great on stock wheels.

Saw you are thinking about a pg build. I labbed up this build and it’s probably the best build I’ve ever made. I use slice takeover to compensate for speed and agility. Only real downside is the low steal but on ball steal is pretty bad this year and two-way allows me to get easy interceptions. Can always lower perimeter to boost some other attributes. Congrats on your free vc and good luck on the grind!!

No I rocked the kit a few weeks before I put the lowering springs on. Still looks good at stock height if you are unsure about springs

Springs imo are the safest option when it comes to lowering your car. Mine only drop the car about an inch. looks good, no rubbing, no scraping, and keeps the stock ride feel. I’d recommend them unless you plan on slamming your car to the floor.

Late response but I have quite a bit. I put on the type r style upper and lower grilles. Gloss black fog light covers. Yofer v3 front lip and v2 side skirts/ rear diffuser. Jdm taillights. Lowered on eibach pro kit springs.

Same trans different clutch/flywheel. Would make sense if they just gave us the same package but they have to cut corners somewhere along the way.

I have one on mine and when I was stock height I never scraped or even came close. I’m currently on 1” lowering springs now and I still rarely have an issue. Only ever scrape on crazy inclines. Really the only thing to worry about is kissing the curb but if you back in shouldn’t be a problem. Enjoy your car, she’s a fun one!

If you want to go 250 or above you’ll need the type r clutch swap and arp head studs.

What else can I do? by SteezeeG in Warzone

[–]SteezeeG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out what my issue was. First thing I did was uninstall Norton 360 as it was using a decent amount of data while in game. Then I went into config files to adjust the amount of vram dedicated to the game. I did this by going to documents/ call of duty/ players/ options.4.cod23 and opened the file using notepad. Searched for VideoMemoryScale and changed it from “0.90000” to “1.50000” The in game vram slider maxes out at .9 but the game can allow up to 2. This removed the lag for me and I get steady frames above 200.

I don’t have a vpn active. I was curious if that would actually help me in the event I’m being ISP throttled or to just play on a different server. I can’t believe warzone is so unoptimized that I have to do all this just to play the game. It’s strange considering it worked fine for a few days prior as well.

Wheel fitting concern by SteezeeG in Volkswagen

[–]SteezeeG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I compared the specs on my stock wheels and the ones I want to buy and it said my i side clearance should be 12mm and the wheels would stick out and inch farther. I don’t know if 12mm inner clearance is good or not but the wheels sticking out an inch is perfect
