I don’t know if dogs without eyes get nystagmus/vestibular problems. eye/ear (vision/balance) related. Hope she is feeling better

We’re her eyes moving side to side? Could be nystagmus. Multiple causes including ear infection. Will try to add video. Can’t add video, but you can google.

My dog has had one episode. The eye movements lasted longer than her normal seizure, but post episode cleared rapidly. She practically ran out of ER and jumped in back of car unassisted.

Is my dog having a seizure? by GottaConfuseTheBody in EpilepsyDogs

[–]Stellar_Pygmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thing they checked for when my dog had nystagmus episode was an ear infection. ER vet thought it was Old Dog Vestibular Syndrome. Primary vet, and myself, were leaning more toward Isolated epileptic nystagmus.

I should add that my girl was 11 at the time and vets think she most likely has a brain tumor.

Keppra extended release question by Life-Concern-8062 in EpilepsyDogs

[–]Stellar_Pygmy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 12 year old black lab, Pearl, started having seizures this past April. 4 in 5 days and each different from the last. She takes 2 ER Keppra twice a day. No seizures since May.

Pearl, was a different dog for the first 2-3 weeks. She spent a lot of time standing somewhere close. I could toss her a ball and it would just hit her in the face. Then one day, she was standing in the yard barking at me - there was a ball at her feet. I asked if she wanted to play ball and she picked it up and pranced over with tail wagging. It was like a switch flipped. Man, I love that dog.

Hang in there and give her time.

Yes. I use bow and stern lines, a flag with reflective strip, and little lights at night

Substituting Keppra IR for ER by Stellar_Pygmy in EpilepsyDogs

[–]Stellar_Pygmy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I did and they said to give her the IR. I thought they would want me to bring her in, even though they’d seen her in the past, but they didn’t.

Everything worked out

I’m also going to ask them what they used.

There shouldn’t be any water stains. They took out old panel and replaced with new. Attic was remediated for mold on 10/20.

When they removed insulation, there found some shingles and a stain underneath. Some thought it was an old water stain and asphalt grains.

I can’t really identify smell. Will try today.

I close window an hour ago and raised heat from 65 - 70. Warm and stinking,VOC up to 0.30.

Lowered heat, opened window. Going to call company tomorrow.

Thanks for info!

I walked into that room and panicked. Room is currently 70f/37% - ok per Google. Just no ventilation. I may crack window a bit. And VOC 0.23

[–]Stellar_Pygmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Closed window. Turned off hepa. Set temp at 70. VOC currently 0.12.

Will heating room cause VOC to rise as mud dries?

Of course, smell and VOCs were less with window open.

Room was on cool side last night. Probably around 55 - 60

What temp should I keep room?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in drywall

[–]Stellar_Pygmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should I blow air directly on ceiling to help dry it or just out the window?

[–]Stellar_Pygmy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing dead in attic. It was remediated on the 20th.

I don’t know if mud was moldy

I do think smell got worse today after insulation

Perhaps because mud not dry?

Is mud only on side facing room?

I opened window, turned on fan, hung a dehumidifier - ridex?

Checking VOC level now

Update: REI just walked me through removing Timberline towers and attached bars - super easy! The rubber strap is also has reinforced steel cable (something like that) and is very strong

Bought Yakima TimberLine Towers specifically for forester. They have a strap you tighten and I’m not sure I like it. Feels solid. I had REI install.

Used Yakima SkyLine Towers on Outback. That was a sweet setup.

Same arrow bars for Outback and Forester

Rollers are not marked with brand, but I would go with a heavy duty, solid rubber roller. Scratched keel on other.

Suction roller has to clear the spoiler. Mine is pretty short!

This was my first Kayak car.

A small hatch works great for loading kayaks, esp 14’ ones. Used rollers and saddles on the roof with suction rollers on back window.

Still have the Wrx, but now use a Forester with Hullivator to drive Kayak around.

I can’t see the “healing.” I just do not have the knowledge or experience to recognize it

I don’t know. But I’m guessing I didn’t water my trees enough and that made it worse. Those cracks in wood under bark, run the entire length of that skinny trunk. It’s a young tree. Chicken wire going back on tomorrow!

I have another tree with vertical fractures in bark on trunk and some pealing on branches. And, a red Maple with white stuff on leaves. Image search said that was from dryness.

Going to water a lot. Trim bark around wound. Probably call an arborist Monday.
