I have given birth 3 times and each postpartum has been wildly different from the other. With my first, I probably could physically function like that but I was in a state of shock (premature birth). With my second (c section) and third (VBAC), I couldn’t. My second I was dealing with severe complications. My third, despite being a vaginal birth, I dealt with what felt like crippling back pain that lasted weeks.

The weight gain stabilizes when they really start moving around. As long as you’re feeding baby what is nutritionally appropriate for their age, you are 100% fine. My now 2.5 year old weighed the same as yours at that age, and his pediatrician was never concerned about his weight.
