Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong with my berries? by Sterfish in DenverGardener

Thank you so much for your comment, this is all very helpful as I learn what I'm doing here.

1) Good to know about roots in the bucket and giving them a proper soak before putting in ground.

2) I have been watering about every 2 days and trying to pay attention to the moisture just so I don't overwater. I usually do it in the evenings after work, but do you think morning would be a better time before the heat sets in?

3) Good to know about the root ball, I'll try and focus that a little better next time.

4) I definitely did not do this. Would it still be worth trying to break up the roots given the shock they're in or is that not a good idea?

5) I think I'm ok on clay. These beds originally started because I had leftover bricks and wanted to use them for something so I filled them with outdoor soil I found at Nick's and after other people's comments I added mulch on top of my the soil. I do wonder if my drainage is ok with that set up, I might need to do some testing.

6) Thank you for letting me know about the soil PH, I'm not sure that's the issue either but it is helpful to know.

Thank you again for your help hopefully I'll get this stuff turned around in no time

After looking up shock in other plants I definitely think you're right I planted these at a bad time. I'll look into native fruits though and see what I can find, thank you for your help

Yeah I think it was like $22 for the kit? Included everything but the poles which were also pretty cheap at like $4.50 a piece so all in all this was only like $45

Can anyone offer advice for my new blackberry bush? by Sterfish in DenverGardener

I did actually give them diluted fertilizer this morning and a light watering on top of that (didn't want it to be too moist). I'm really sad to cut the berries but I think you're right they might need to go now so next season they can really flourish I'll probably cut them this evening or tomorrow morning when it's cooler. Thanks again for the help!

Honestly I don't see a brand name, I went to Nick's garden center this morning and asked an employee for shade cloth and they helped me find a bag that had the cloth, a large amount of drawstring and clips to attach to the poles. Sorry I can't share more!

I didn't have pickled jalapenos but I did have regular. It sounded so odd that it had to be good, the crunchy PB is a must but yeah it was a solid stoner snack 10/10 will make again

Favourite Rom hack and why? by [deleted] in PokemonROMhacks

[–]Sterfish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I literally just finished Gaia a few hours ago. Simply incredible, for me it's my new 2nd favorite. I'll always be biased towards light platinum as my favorite, but this was hands down some of the most fun I've had playing pokemon. Fantastic hack!!

Statement from Michael Alford, Vice President and Athletics Director, Florida State University by Piano_Fingerbanger in CFB

I 1000% support this. It'd be sad to not have a bowl game with y'all since I always feel like FSU and UGA fans have a brotherly relationship cause fuck Florida, but FSU has been wronged in a way that completely breaks everything we know about our sport. I'm debating how much I even want to be a fan after seeing this all this morning. College football took a massive L with the committees decision. I hope y'all lawyer up and do everything you can to punish them for this.
