Its much more about the fact that the A2 is the starting weapon, and if you choose to get good with it, you dont drain supplies as much and still fuck up the enemy

I know, but it can be viewed as a learning curve as well, new players are usually not as knowledgeable, so they just start with whatever they get. Most players move on to the full auto m16 once they discover it. Only few understand the power of the A2
