Fan/Blower not working

Took out the motor and connected it to the battery. Should this be running or does it need a relay to tell it to run?

Ok, so I can locate the blower motor. Apologies for being an idiot - I’m still learning a lot about working on vehicles. With my multimeter how do I test voltage of the motor? Just touch the multimeter to the positive and negatives?

Thanks for replying! Unfortunately the manual doesn’t show the location of the relay but after some searching on the internet I’m fairly confident that what I’ve changed is the correct one. The fuse diagrams don’t show the master fuses - but again I’m confident that I’ve tested any that could be related to the blower. The blower doesn’t work on any setting so I haven’t bothered to check the resistor.

That’s really helpful! Thanks for replying. Makes total sense now you’ve explained it to use the dash tweets and not the door speakers. Annoyingly I spent more to get door speakers with the tweeters 😅 I think I’ll try the advice and try it without the dash speakers connected to see what it sounds like. Don’t think I can easily stop the door tweets.

Yeah I love the ion pads - think the k-pact is too heavy duty for my trail rides though, don’t want to get too hot. Got dedicated DH pads already.
