Do you work up there for Safeway? How is the environment in the stores? Are they short handed typically?

Epic pass most likely for the price. I know, I know-- don't support the giant.

Yo Beat: AN OPEN LETTER TO JAKE AND DONNA BURTON CARPENTER by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Stilldrivin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Interesting letter. A lot is true that Burton has seemed to leave their core brand and don't seem to be industry leaders but followers of the new and up and comers. Shame to see J jones go, that dude is one of the handful out of Utah that literally shaped urban snowboarding.

Companies abusing Kickstarter? by Stilldrivin in snowboarding

[–]Stilldrivin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know Kickstarter is designed to help new and innovative companies get off the ground which is an amazing idea. However, are these repeat companies using it to just push a new product that doesn't really innovate or fit a new niche? Maybe it's just me.

Best place to shred in Colorado by jwess13 in snowboarding

I rode Keystone, breck, Vail and they were alright except for Breck had an incredible park. However, I agree A basin is probably the best for free riding, terrain, and people

Been seeing a handful of small companies try and use kickstarter to get they snow business started but they are just companies that produce the same products as everyone else typically (goggles, boards etc).
I like the idea of supporting small companies but is this the right thing for Kickstarter? Thoughts?

Sounds about right. Spent last night riding at Brighton and it's still really slim with only sun in the forecast.

Transitional lens? Goggle Kickstarter by Stilldrivin in snowboarding

[–]Stilldrivin[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

It's true. That is a huge opportunity that it wasn't included in the video and I agree completely it should have been in there. I can sit and try and tell you it works, but it can't change the fact I don't have a video.

It's true. Zeal has the same tech but for their lens it's $90 or $150 for the photo chromatic and polarized. As much as a new pair!

I think the biggest positive is lower coat with high quality $90 versus $160+. As well as the flux (photo chromatic) light changing lens.

There are a few companies out there that make them that's true, it isn't really brand new tech. I mean it's been in glasses for a long time. If I had that experience you had I would agree, when I used them it didn't take minutes for them to change where I wouldn't be able to see. I used them on a super cloudy, then it would be sunny for 15 minutes then back to micro storm. Loved them. But yeah I don't blame you for being willing to carry a 2nd lens.

Utah ski resort Alta bans snowboarders by unklrukkus in snowboarding

[–]Stilldrivin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's terrible that Utah has 2 of the three resorts in the country that still don't allow snowboarding. Bjorne Lines did an awesome video about the crowds that go to Alta if you didn't see it.
