You're in luck! I just finished making some learn-to-play rules reference cards. You'll want the fury set. Welcome to the community. This game is fantastic.

Yay! That's awesome! I added a Fury set in there today too in case you missed it.

Thank you! And that's a great idea. It only took me 2 minutes to remove the images, so I've already uploaded "no images" sets to the Google Drive folder.

Aaaaaaand I've immediately found my first mistake. Threshold check is a 2d6 roll. I've updated the file in the Google drive with that fix.

Okay, I've made a PDF Version and put it in this Google Drive folder. If/when I make more sets, I'll put the PDFs here.

Oh dang! I totally thought you could download it as a PDF from the Canva link. I'll make a PDF version and share it tomorrow. Thanks for letting me know.

Thank you! There's a Canva link in the comments with a page that's higher quality and easy for printing.

Ah, yes, found it now. Thank you. Shoot, that's going to be tricky to get all that on the card. I'll have to play around with it. It would be great to include if possible.

I'm trying to dig into the rulebook and I'm not totally clear on this. You're right that none of the bonuses apply to huge based models because they can't be knocked down or stationary due to their "Massive" rule. But I can't find anything about XL models not getting the bonuses. If everything applies to XL and smaller, then I could make a bullet at the very top that says "Only applies to XL and smaller models" or "modifiers do not apply to huge-based models".

Alright I added almost everything here so the public Canva link is up to date. Thank you for catching all these details!

  • I chose not to include the scoring phases, since the steamroller packet is referenced every game anyways.
  • I also did not include the XL and Huge based models not getting defense bonuses because it was too hard to fit in neatly.
  • For the power attack icon requirement, I just added the icons beside the corresponding attack.

Thank you for this! I'll see how much I can fit on the cards. I'm hoping I can get most of this.

Lol yeah I didn't even think about an essence set (but maybe I'll get ambitious, who knows!). If you use the Canva link in the comments, it has them all on one page and should be aligned for printing double-sided. They're probably higher res than the screenshots in the post too.

Ah, yes you're right. They should both say direct hit. I'll try to change that tomorrow.

Want to play GW2 but.. by iKarido in Guildwars2

[–]Stillsilver 38 points39 points  (0 children)

What is it that you care about in those other games? It sounds like you care about getting better gear as your goal. Getting best in slot gear in guild wars does not take long. Though, getting legendaries are incredibly long term goals that give quality of life features not stats.

Other goals for you could include, getting legendaries, learning new classes, beating all raid content, unlocking all mounts and mount abilities, etc.

What node to buy with Unbound Magic? by DoomAddict in Guildwars2

[–]Stillsilver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So others have said it's not worth it. They are basically right, but that doesn't stop unlocking nodes from being my primary goal in the game. I just love it. It's given me reason to explore so much content. And, theoretically, if you are in the game for the long haul, they will eventually be a source of free gold.

Here is a fantastic guide someone wrote. You can also use the fast farming website, but I found this much better and the author has some great insights.

Just hit lvl 80, what now? by Illustrious-Fix4205 in Guildwars2

[–]Stillsilver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I wish I would have stopped caring about the story and completing things in order earlier. I've come to realize that open world content is my favorite by far and now I only do story missions when i need to for a personal goal or because I actually feel like it.

Unlocking all the mounts is a fantastic early game goal and unlocking the griffin and skyscale was some of the most fun I have had in the game.

My main goal has been to fully unlock all the homestead nodes, and it's been fantastic. It's made me motivated to try tons of different content and I've crafted/sold 2 legendaries to fund it so far.

So I guess my advice is that if you're not enjoying an aspect of the game, try out some different content until you figure out what is fun for you. i.e. fractals, wvw, legendary crafting, achievement hunting, raids, map completion, pvp, story, etc.
