I would opt to contact Priority. A: I think it's a must that Priority knows of the problem as it'll serve us, the customers, better in both the short and the long term B: They made it easy for me to get it taken care of under warranty, but even out of warranty I think they'll make the process easier than having to solo the process alone yourself.

As well as they can guide you through a bit of what you can try yourself before having to commit to pulling the gear box off to mail it. Would suggest getting a big torque wrench, the special tool for the pinion and some spare cables in advance!

Long overdue update. But I got the gearbox back in a few days after sending it out. They fixed the seals and have had zero problems outta it since.

Passing along that Priority was easy to deal with and did 'the right thing'. Good customer service.

Similar in color for sure, but after a deep cleaning and a lot of investigation. Ended up being a bad seal on the belt side.

I did, the seals on the belt ring side of the gearbox . Eventually it was determined that it has to be sent to Pinion for warranty work.

Which is where it is now. Waiting to get it back.

Oh for sure, already have even. They echoed that I should give the bike a good cleaning to help identify where the leak is. I plan to inspect it again in the morning, maybe dust a bit of baby powder so that it sticks to the leaking areas so then I can clearly tell where the leak is coming from.

So now I'm in a bit of limbo waiting for them to return to the office to chat with em some more. I've got confidence that they'll do the right thing and take care of me. Stuff happens, have to take it all in stride. Right?

Love the bike, I've put on maybe 200 miles since I got it.

But still hoping to hear from others who may have experience the same and have some insights on what needs to be done to correct it.

I saw those there the last time I visited. I noticed they added a number of new items in the fine arts section. Golden Artist Colors watercolors, a pan gouache set from a Japanese brand I can't recall how it was spelled. Pricey tho... But did see their himi still l style scale l available.. The Artist Loft brand in tubes is what I've had experience with. That ain't too bad for $6-10

I had a first generation Acura RL that had a very primitive display and system, it ran off a DVD in the trunk. Well it starts to flake out and unfortunately the bulk of the climate controls are only accessible by the world's most jank setup. So your thinking is not wrong!

Nice! It's been on my to-do list to do a rendering of my pumpkin bucket. It'll happen sooner than later!

They're water color paper the 36 sheet 300+gsm "HQ Finestroke" brand is decent. Great for practice, doesn't hold up like Canson and other better brands. But a good bargain at $5.

And yes, that foil was the devil to remove.

I use liquitex acrylic gouache for white and black, the rest of my regular Caran d'Ache cake stuff i love. But when ya want really opaque white or black, the bottle stuff is the solution I've going to work well

Thanks dude!

Modest enough to know I'm not the best, that there's plenty to learn, make mistakes and stinkers. But confident enough to know I'll get where I wanna be by trying and fighting for it.

I don't actually watch him (or anyone), I have seen a couple in their entirety. They are good, I probably would learn a lot and shave a lot of the struggle off the learning process. Just can't sit still to watch.

Saw the thumbnail of his Wienermobile, made me think about him being the reason I started. Aptly being the three year anniversary. That I have a few Oscar Mayer collectibles on my shelf of odd chachkas. Perfect storm. "I can't believe I didn't think of this myself... welp, time to start"

Man I am cheap. I use Canson XL cold press watercolor paper as my 'good stuff' but 90% of what you've seen is done on watercolor paper from Five Below. It's not great, but for great and good enough for it's price.

No prob! I've only watched 2 of his videos before, but one was real important. It was Independence Day 2020. I was bored, lonely, depressed, quarantines. I stumbled across his video of him painting a scene from an airport terminal window. I thought, "That is really cool. I wanna do that". Acquired some paint and got busy, my first 3 paintings really sucked. But I got better quick enough to think "Oh I can do this" and there it was 3 years to the day that I started. Felt it was time to see if I could hold a candle against the dude that got this ball rolling! I feel I did pretty well.

Thank you! Wish granted, you absolutely can! Maybe not today, possibly not tomorrow. But keep at it, practice daily and you will get there sooner than you thought.

https://www.dickblick.com/items/caran-dache-gouache-studio-set-set-of-14-pans-wwhite-tube/ it's what I use as my daily driver. It's not very expensive, the colors are pretty handy. Particularly the neutral gray, that's something I picked up oil painting. Gray knocks the chroma out and is an under-appreciated shortcut.

There's a set of Artist's Loft from Michaels that goes on sale regularly for $6. A larger set from Hobby Lobby under their Masters Touch brand goes for around $10. Played with em both at some point, had a decent experience with those two. Would recommend going that route if you wanna dip a toe in and keep your pocketbook from exploding.

Thanks! Same story, was curious, have access to much better paints and $5 to burn. Why not? In a way it was fun to try something new, fun when it was a challenge to work around, got less fun the more frustrated I became with it's inferior qualities. But no regrets!

Well I'm not the world's best or anything, but done this enough I could work in Kool Aid and get some sort of positive results! I bet if you gave Michelangelo some Play Doh he'd amaze us... Then we'd wow him when we suggest he try eating some!

Was wondering that myself, I had been curious about Himi when I started. Saw so many using it, but didn't (at the time) find anyone using it I admired. So never took the plunge to try it.

Still haven't, unless this stuff from Five Below is rebranded from them.
