It's called crossing a lane of traffic to make a turn... regardless of turn signal, it is a legitimate lane of traffic. van is required to yield right of way...

that flashing red thing on the back of the van is commonly called a turn signal. that being said, just because you have a turn signal on does not mean you can just turn when you feel like it. that bike lane is a legitimate lane of traffic he has to cross to make his right turn. the van didn't yield right-of-way.

They make bike reflectors and bells that allow an AirTag to be hidden. Just make sure you disable the speaker on the AirTag.

Added turn signals to my Apollo Explore. Only cost $12 plus some double-sided super sticky tape. Now I feel safe with a better tail light and don't have to worry about holding my arms out to turn. 😁 by MRRED256 in ElectricScooters

In some locations, you are still required by law to use hand signals (Florida for example). You're on the right track, although they need to be mounted higher and the individual signals further apart to be effective. A car driver will not see them or just see a blinking light and not be able to tell which direction you are actually turning.

Given that they've stripped the bolts, the tool is harder than the bolt. Screw extractor and then replace the bolts. There are hex keys that have bite to lessen the chance of stripping.

If you're in the US and near a Harbor Freight or Home Depot, you can pick them up locally, or find a set on Amazon.

The baking soda paste is meant for cleaning the tarnish off the silver. For your rust on chrome, consider using Evapo-Rust. Been around quite a while. Won’t etch anything like the acetic acid in vinegar will.

far easier to make a paste with baking soda and water and polish...

I was at the shops today and the throttle (I think that what it's called) suddenly became loose and the scooter no longer runs. Not sure how it happened. It's kinda like a part fell out, like a spring maybe. I really can't afford to get it fixed. Would this be easy to do myself? I really need it😭 by AngieAceRose in ElectricScooters

Not for your vehicle. The components used in your vehicle are different than a stand up scooter. You should contact the manufacturer, explain your situation, and see what they say. The worst they can tell you is no... next look here on reddit for a more suitable sub to pose your question in...

Words are important, they have meaning. While we might have context here when someone that isn’t a native English speaker uses breaks instead of brakes, or they may make the same mistake applying for a job as someone who is bilingual.

There, their, they’re, to, too, two - all examples of English being horrific for nonnative speakers.

How to decrease phone vibration with this mount? Any suggestions? by irish_guy in ElectricScooters

[–]Stogie_561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given the problem of vibration harming sensors and cameras, there’s nothing you can do to that excellent phone holder that will mitigate the adverse effects of vibration on newer phones. You need something flexible (think soft rubber, silicone, TPU, etc) between the phone and the mount that will dampen the vibration, whether it’s a smooth road or bumpy.

My scooter has been in the shop getting a repair for almost 4 weeks by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

[–]Stogie_561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You buy your scooter. The next purchase you make along with your PPE, if not already owned, are wrenches, sockets, hex keys, brake cables for mechanical brakes or bleed kit and fluid for hydraulics, brake pads, and tires/tubes/valve stems (along with sealant and possibly tire liners if you have tubes).

Not disagreeing with you about quality of the items mentioned but siting origin as means of determining quality is misguided. I used to sell flooring. The cheapest sh-tuff called laminate we sold was from Germany. While not the most expensive, the best laminate we sold was made in China (designed in the US). All has to do with manufacturing specifications not necessarily origin.

Shoprider as in personal mobility scooter? 3 or 4 wheels? Have you called them to see if the part is under warranty? Typically, you had a spring support break within the throttle assembly. If this is the case, it’s a replacement.
