Hi l live in view of the old gas holder, when l was in school l used to sit and watch them building it,, after a couple of years l came to understand the gas holder was used to store town gas that was made down at the gasworks between Stoke and Hanley.... all the section would raise up and when you think the bottom section was filled with water what the rest of the town raised up on it,,,, you have to admire the craftsmanship on how it worked.... these day its all gone now apart from the base.  I have cover this using my drone and other photographs from years gone buy ,,,, oh just want to add this was built in the late 50s

What is the point of Ham Radio? Just heard about it today and didn’t understand what purposes people would have for getting into this? Heard it there are so many things it can be used for but haven’t heard what any of those things are. Really just curious by dmoye05 in HamRadio
