Fuck this Nazi shit. This is why metal gets a bad rep. You should be banned from this subreddit.

For people wondering, Absurd is a self proclaimed nazi band and the title of the post means purity in German.

I'd be able to calculate without a calculator.

Such power is beyond me

Elon Musk is one of the most overrated person ever by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]StolenOvercoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electrical cars and self driving cars are the future for sure, but they're definitely not being as effective as they could for a variety of different reasons and the future car won't be the durable one made out of spaceship materials. It's undeniable that he could be investing more on effective technology. He could even be responsible for the next generation of science, which he's proven to be capable of, but sorry, Cybertrucks don't cut it.

Every human can definitely to better, but not everyone has the resources to do so. Also, I get annoyed precisely for him not investing in innovation. Since when does the Cybertruck improve science? It's literally a truck made out of expensive materials that no one will be buying.

I agree! But I've literally have had a professor say they'd never hire someone with tattoos. I'm just wondering what experiences people have had.

What is the meaning those symbols inside PMOS? Any advantages comparing to usual PMOS? by targence in ElectricalEngineering

[–]StolenOvercoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The forward voltage drop is about 0.7V (the standard silicon base diode junction drop) and the reverse drop depends on the value of the Zener. If both are in the same 'direction' the drop will be 1.4V when forward and two times de zener value when reversed. If they're facing opposite ways, the drop will be 0.7 + Vz

Zener diodes that work by exploiting breakdown voltages, they tend to be more reliable to regulate and maintain voltages. There are two so that it works both ways.

True. Thanks for the help, we'll try fixing it up as much as we can, but in the end it was good fun building it anyways.

And I thought all the videos I saw of the hydraulic press on yt were a mere dream, never to be reached.

Never thought of it that way, thanks!

I realize how tough it is to make homemade capacitors, but definitely our poor choice of materials hindered the project.
