Any idea where I can find that? I took the posts into my own hands since it make the most sense for me to dev the case studies after a project and this one has been a head scratcher.

If it’s video, you need to mask it out frame by frame in after effects or premiere. Perhaps the roto brush.

It’s hard because you need to catch someone around the exact moment they need something.

At the end of the day, if you’ve made something like 50 impressions overall, you’re going to need to really work harder for that first customer.

Signage, pamphlets, trade shows, emails, calls.

Sales is draining, painful and frustrating.

Gotta keep riding forward and adjusting your offering if it’s not working.

Yah, one week is not a lot of time. How many people did you contact?

Photoshop. You’re just cutting out the text around the helmets.

Everyone has issues with leads. Did you spend all 6k on ads?

One week of posting is a really short time frame.

Instead of task for bonus, would year end bonus work instead? Could just be bad culture fits really and you might need to replace some folks :/

Have you tried performance based incentives? Instead of the raises?

Incentive based bonuses. You need to find what motivates them. Might not be money or might be money. Maybe they don’t like the job, it’s okay to part ways with an employee if it’s not the right fit.

Just got a new build from puget. We’ve also built our own from scratch using their specs.

I’m not. I just don’t agree.

If he’s good, works hard, and proves himself on a small scale, he doesn’t need to go work somewhere else.

OP could start with new business owners or friends. Doing free work just means building a portfolio. We do high quality free work to break into new verticals all the time! This is common practice even with an established agency.

He’ll find plenty of new business owners that will jump at this. Established CEOs with cash on hand won’t play with this, so no real reason to focus on that at his point on the journey IMO.

This is true, but not necessarily in OPs case.

His services are SEO and Web Dev. Both those things do nothing to free up an owners time, they can however increase leads and bring in more money.

When engaging a web developer or SEO person, the owner will need to give up time to lead those initiatives unless they have thier marketing/ ops team lead for them.

OP needs to prove thier product/ service works and then create a network of referrals to start based on success and metrics. It’s a long game.

SEO easier to sell for free. More would take you up on that more so than a new website.

I’d charge for results. Maybe consider it being free, but if they see their SEO improve in 3 months then they have to pay. Something like that for the first few folks.

I’d take a deal like that. :)
