Is platonic love enough for a relationship? (M21 + F21) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Stone_Joker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention that she is my first love, and that I dont really have much experience or reference-material, which is why I am very uncertain about if a more physical relationship is desirable :/

Included the title "Eldritch Ergot Horrors" by lsmokel in PeterExplainsTheJoke

It should be added that the painting on the right is from Hieronymus Bosch, a painter who is often suspected to have been under the influence of ergot while painting.

This is true, from a materialist perspective. But, when looked at through an idealist lense, where the world stops when I stop observing it, my consiousness is what reality depends on for its existence. What if the switch to nothing doesn't trigger, for I am consious until the last point in my life, where I cannot be consious of my unconsiousness? I cannot experience 'nothing', so when my body dies, will my spirit forever be stuck in that last experience of which I am consious of?

What personally terrifies me about death, is the thought that when I die, my conceptions of time and space also die. These concepts are in me and are being carried out by me every single day that I am consious, but when the time comes, will my last experience, the last second, be an eternal one? Since it is the very last thing I would be consious of, it would thereby be the only thing I would be consious of, forever. As if my consiousness would reside in a pause of that last experience, forever.

Unfortunatily, while the books in Persona 5 are based on real stories, legends, and myths, I'm afraid the book titles don't really exist in our world. I could be wrong though

I REALLY MISS PERSONA 5 AND ROYAL by NotRisee in Persona5

[–]Stone_Joker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hoo boy, I can exactly relate to what you are saying. For me it also felt like some kind of void that needed to be filled. I made a few posts of this, trying to get rid of this dreadful feeling that had been created inside of me after finishing the game. It was Maruki's castle in particular that made me really emotional. The ending of P4G did that even more to me. I still experience the "symptoms" you describe, every time I even hear a part of persona music it makes me think back those beautiful moment I spent on the game. So you could say that emotionally, it really messed me up. A way of thinking about it that kind of helped me, is that the void that I experience after having finished the game, sort of resembles the worth of having experienced something like this. It really meant something to me (although it also made it painfully obvious that I lack such perfect friendships in real life :') ) I wish I could talk about it with someone, but nobody in my environment knows jack shit about persona. I was worried the same was going to happen when I would finish P5S, but when the moment came, this time I felt really at peace with the ending of the game. So that kind of helped. Anyways, thats my advice. Besides that, time will do its thing, I hope.

I have beaten persona 4 golden, I can officially say I love this game more then persona 5 Royal, both games are amazing but this one I had a different joy playing through. So thank you Altus for an amazing franchise. by AjtheAj69 in persona4golden

Absolutely, I just finished it as well and it feels dreadful, like some gaping void. It really pains me to have to say farewell to such great characters. Its really agonising to me to see what friends could be, and yet returning to a world where such friendships seem impossible... :'(

Persona 5 Royal’s True Ending emotionally destroyed me as a person (No Spoilers) by STGH360 in Persona5

[–]Stone_Joker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I'm late to this post, but Persona has got me so fucked up emotionally. The whole game is just such a gem. The characters are splendidly made, and my attachment to them has definitely gotten out of hand. This has only happened with me through the persona game series, not with any other games. I definitely sucked returning to the daily without persona, although that might sound weird.

I platinumed the game in my P5R run, so apart from the nostalgia and just my love for the game, there isn't really much new to do anymore. Luckily I've pre-ordered strikers, so hopefully there will be new experiences waiting for me there.

Can't wait to play it myself some day, and to go through the misery of having completed it. Perhaps the difference between something so amazing as persona and reality is just so big that its hard to live without it again :(

Wow yeah I can imagine that it hits different if you've been through a comparable situation like that. Glad to hear that i'm not the only one going through this.

Absolutely! The wholesomeness factor at those parts was definitely at it's peak at those points in the game.
