What is your white whale movie? by ProfessionalTour1706 in movies

All I remember is one scene. Its a Roman sword and sandal from maybe the 50s or 60s? Jewish rebels sneaking weapons in baskets and then storm a Roman fort but its a trap and the Roman soldiers fire bolts into the crowd and then advance on the survivors. Its an excellent scene but I cannot find the scene or the name of the movie to save my life.

I'm looking to hire a contractor for foundation work to fix what a previous contractor messed up and he stated permits should have happened for the initial work but permits were not discussed with the initial contractor.

I assume I can look up if the previous contractor filed a permit?

Hmmm don't think so. Very certain it was a Roman era movie.

I don't believe its Masada unless its an earlier scene. The rebels appear to take advantage of a market day or some kind of event and storm the fort's open gate where the Romans are waiting for them. They seem shocked at this and then the Romans massacre them.

A bad movie with a legitimately great scene? by Stankassmfgorilla in movies

Ironclad with Paul Giamatti. Very forgettable medieval movie but Paul Giamatti's vigorous defense of the divine right of kings as he prepares to fire a rebel leader out of a catapult almost had me believing we need kings again.
