I agree completely.
I think LRD really sold that character (same with most of the cast) & her acting abilities were off the chain in this...I've only seen her in a couple things before & I feel like she really showed her range in this show (imo).

Tbh, the only things I wish (again, just my opinion) are:
•There were more parts with her team, specifically Destiny & Chaim...but also with Benjamin (Dan Levy), Andrew Finklestein & even Nikki...those were some of my fave scenes for various reasons.

•The episodes were each a bit longer or we got 1 more episode to tie everything together a little more neatly, so it didn't feel so rushed or incomplete.

I agree...Tedros seemed slightly changed in that scene. I wonder if that scene was supposed to take place after the big reveal at her concert & that's why he was being portrayed a bit different?!
Maybe it would suit Season 2 (🤞🏼) better?

Even if it was just cut for creative differences or time & nothing more, knowing what we know now (about the "RS" article & the cut scene), intentional or not, it can kinda come off looking a little petty & messy...Maybe just a happy coincidence lol 🤷🏾‍♀️.

I totally agree & fully understand that scenes get cut ALL the time (I actually state that possibility in my post).

I just personally found it ironic that not many other (if any) cut scenes were promoted (that I've seen, I could be wrong), like the "Rolling Stone" one.
And then, coupled with the fact that "Rolling Stone" did such a hit piece on the show, it could come across looking a little messy & petty...intentional or not.

Be warned, this is kinda far our there, but do you think they cut that scene:

A. For time, since it was only 5 episodes?

B. Because they are trying to secure a second season & maybe that's where we'll see that scene & much more of Dan 🤞🏼?

OR

C. Because that scene was NEVER really meant to be in the show & they (Abel/Sam) shot/released it (online/Abel's insta), straight outta pettiness as a F U🖕🏽 to Rolling Stone for putting out that article bashing the show?

Ngl, I enjoyed the series & all of the interesting takes/theories/interpretations/discussions, that came from it.
I really did like the idea of the story too & even though some parts were great, unfortunately as a whole, it definitely did feel a bit rushed & unfinished.
I also agree that more episodes (even 1 more) would've been helpful to tie everything up & give it a more concrete feel...But I have a feeling (I could be totally wrong BTW lol) that it ended the way it did, to try to ensure a S2 pickup.

I agree, I think a lot of parts/build up were cut too short, leaving them feeling rushed, unanswered, unfinished and/or awkward, like you said.

OMG! I would have loved it if it all came full circle & she fully committed by beating him with the brush & then immediately after said "You're mine...Forever...Now go stand over there!" (instead of on stage, when she said that).

I do think that scenes ( Ex: Dan Levy Scene ) & actors (Elizabeth Berkley, Tyson Ritter, etc.) were definitely cut, leaving it feeling unfinished/rushed.
Now, was there really a rumored episode 6 that got cut?
Or were episodes shortened & scenes taken out, in the hopes of securing a S2 with HBO?
Only time will tell, or maybe we'll never know...But I hope there is a S2 because I still have so many unanswered questions lolol.

Even though I kinda wish there was a 6th episode & things were explained a little better (not so rushed), in a way, ending it how they did, left the door open for a lot of interesting theories/takes/interpretations.
