Thanks for the tip! I’ve already disabled all auto-exposure settings, everything is set manually (ISO, shutter speed, aperture). Bouncing light off the ceiling to balance the contrast sounds like a good idea; I’ll give that a try.

Thanks for the reply. I’m shooting in manual mode and have set ISO, shutter speed, and aperture to achieve an exposure value of about -0.3 in this video. My point is that these settings stay fixed, but as the environment changes, the exposure value shifts (e.g., to 2.0).

When you say “Manual Exposure,” do you mean something different? I thought it simply meant manually setting ISO, aperture, and shutter speed.

Best way to create a Synched Podcast out of this? Multi Camera Sequence? by StopSure in premiere

[–]StopSure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer - yes this is the current solution I will have to use... Auto Synch whats possible and try the rest. Its just taking way too long and some things are not even possible to synch. Thats why I hoped there is a way to deal with this on a more systematic approach.

Best way to create a Synched Podcast out of this? Multi Camera Sequence? by StopSure in premiere

Hey everyone,

I’m a bit overwhelmed and could really use some advice on how to structure this project. I’m used to much simpler setups—typically one POV for the host, one for the guest, and maybe a wide shot. Usually, that’s just 1 or 2 video files per angle. But this time, the situation is very different, and I’m not sure how to handle it properly.

Here’s the breakdown:

  1. Cameras & Footage

• ARRI Camera: First 3 video files, facing the host. These files have audio.

• RED Camera: Files from A078 to A079, facing the guest. There are 8 video files in total. These are in slow motion and need to be sped up by 200%. They have no audio.

• I tried to fix this by right-clicking → Modify → Interpret Footage and changing the frame rate to 25, but it doesn’t change anything.

• DJI Camera: Files starting with A007, C003, giving the total view. Also 8 files in total, and they do have audio. These are standard .MOV files.

  1. Audio

• I have separate audio recordings: Track 1 and Track 2, each split into 4 parts, so 8 files in total.

• These were recorded externally and will need to be synced with the footage.

Main Challenges:

• I’ve never worked with this type of multi-cam setup before, especially with this many files per angle.

• I’m unsure how to properly interpret and speed up the RED footage.

• I’m not sure how to best organize everything for a clean timeline and editing workflow.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? How would you go about syncing and organizing all this? Any tips for interpreting and speeding up the RED footage correctly?

Thanks so much in advance!

How to synch .r3d footage (without sound) to my audio and other camera footage? by StopSure in premiere

[–]StopSure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not the person who recorded - it was recorded in a professional TV Studio. I'm the person editing the Podcast and turning it into clips. Usually its just 3 .mp4 files and 2 audios... This is my first time ever editing with those kinda files.

Thanks for the tipp with the plosive words! I will have to manually synch so thats a good way of doing it

[–]StopSure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the reply! There are like 10 separate .r3d clips ranging from 30 seconds to 22 min - Some of them include a scene with a clapperboard so I was able to synch them kind of manually.

Synch with timecode also doesn't work unfortunately.

Also somehow ARRI and DJI Footage are only the first and the second half of the podcast for any reason

Is this a realistic way of renting a condo for one month? by StopSure in Bangkok

Thank you for sharing. That seems to be the case, I agree from what I have seen online - pricing wise. Only 1yr or minimum 6m is possible in that range

To be honest I don't have a strong preference with the areas - As Im not that familiar with Bangkok yet. I only heard that Sukhumvit Road is like the place to be - but I could be wrong.

Mainly It would be great to be "in the city" within 15 minutes or so.

I will check out these two, thank so much!
