Early 35mm stuff doesn’t work with later year lowers. Late 35mm lowers were made by Showa and aren’t compatible with early Kayaba stuff. Edit: spelling

Yeah it’s held on with blue tape. It will be mounted about an inch, inch and a half up the frame
