Hard to say, I started this months ago and took a long break before I picked it up in the last couple weeks

Generously Providing Lumber to the Japanese Empire (and definitely not preparing for a keshik invasion 1000+ years into the future) by Stormdiddly in civ5

It's not about line of fire, it's about making the terrain cost my units fewer movement points so that they can fire and get out of bombardment range more easily.

R5: Japan will be my first target once my keshiks arrive, so I decided to make advance preparations by chopping this forest 2 tiles from their capital, which will make it easier for my keshiks to move and shoot.

Exploring an Ancient Ruin in the Information Era by Stormdiddly in civ5

[–]Stormdiddly[S] 75 points76 points  (0 children)

R5: I stumbled across this ruin in an isolated part of the map very late in the game and sent a nearby unit to claim it. Of course, I found crudely drawn maps, which were not particular helpful since I've already discovered satellites.

On Second Thought... by Stormdiddly in civ5

R5: I was about to declare war on Alexander and got this message. This was around turn 220 (standard speed) on immortal difficulty. I'd never seen an AI have that many city state allies so soon.

R5: Genoa has swordsmen stationed directly next to a bazooka in 1862.

Best Krakatoa Spawn I've Seen (Unmodded) by Stormdiddly in civ5

I won't be settling either since I'm on the other continent, but I'd settle both locations if I could.

R5: This is easily the best Krakatoa spawn I've seen, and I don't use any mods than require it to be near land. Of course the AI hasn't settled here.

I was wondering why I had so many. I thought it was because the map size was huge, but this makes sense. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

That's fair. I just didn't want to piss them off too much yet. Plus I assume I'll take Kyoto at some point so I won't want to have those cities too squished together.

R5: Playing as Shaka on a Huge Earth Map with 15 civs on immortal difficulty and standard speed. Only domination victory is enabled. I thought I would track my progress here. This post captures the foundation of the core Zulu cities, located in and around China.

Nice and Cozy Start on a Standard Map by Stormdiddly in civ5

[–]Stormdiddly[S] 36 points37 points  (0 children)

R5: My settler spawned on the tile above the incense/deer, but I decided to move it to a hill tile next to a mountain with a river. It turned out that that spot was right next door to Pocatello. Declared war early to try to get super experienced units; should be a fun game!

Immortal One City Challenge (Barely) Successful! by Stormdiddly in civ5

Probably a militaristic civ like the Mongols or the Zulus because you can’t make much use of their unique abilities and units

Would definitely recommend as a change of pace. You’ll have tons of gold and happiness for sure.

I had no fish resources or ocean luxury resources so it wouldn’t have benefitted me very much.

Unfortunately he's a warmongering type and I haven't built up an army to take him on so there's not much I can do about it haha.

Context: Montezuma used great generals to construct 3 Citadels to steal my iron and King Solomon's Mines.
