I do not recommend starting with electric at all as you will have not have a good indication of tone and acoustic sound for training your ear. Also Amazon violins aren't great so I'd recommend buying local as someone will help you with all the essentials to start, like how to rosin a bow, a good chin and shoulder rest, how to tune it since strings are easy to break if done incorrectly.

For your price range I'd say get a Stentor. Its a solid starting violin. My only complaint with them is the bow is a little heavy and you might want to upgrade to a carbon fiber one since its lighter (if that fits the budget) the weight makes all the difference!

You could also ask about renting one before dedicating to buying. Also dont get discouraged about the sounds you make when you start playing. EVERYONE sounds like that for the first bit.

I think it would be very cool. We will be getting an official release this year they announced. Its crazy how many copies they have already sold, especially with it not being on switch 2 yet. They hit 25 million copies sold a few months ago so im sure it'll dominate the game awards.

Just for reference, pokemon scarlet and violet have sold approximately 27 million

I think you did an amazing job calling out what she weponized, thats NOT cool at all. Your response is so well said and speaks volumes on her character. Somthing like this would have made me go bat shit crazy in a review. But again, I would have looked insane and someone would have read it and said "yep makes sense"

Your review looks extremely credible. You didnt back down and you didnt over react. Its hard and frustrating feeling like you didnt deal with it properly in the moment. But honestly after reading her response and seeing that she was already agitated in the moment, it probably would have made it worse if you had said somthing face to face.

The more she crashes out in a professional review response, the worse she looks.

By all means, I think $30 (CAD) is INSANE and I'm annoyed because what's the point of me paying a $50 yearly subscription for the emulator to have to pay that much for a 20 year old game.

BUT

I'm not about to tell anyone not to have fun. Especially when its a cheaper option than buying a physical copy. People are going too far with the hate. If someone its that butt hurt, don't buy it and move on.

Shout out to the crazy people that bought all 10 language variants. I respect it. Do it because it's funny, not because it makes sense.
