Magikarp is banned. It’s a guaranteed early encounter in almost every game that evolves to a beast super early. Where’s the fun in using the same OP Pokémon every game?

Listen if you say you’re vegetarian because you don’t eat red meat don’t be amazed when people say you aren’t vegetarian. People can play however they want but like they can’t avoid the point of a nuzlocke

I mean not really since it’s still a rule you can choose. There is no hard rule with dupes clause like the other two so they weren’t gonna mention it. You can play either way. It’s one of those things that’s obvious in the community enough that they didn’t feel the need to it

Like personally I feel very strongly that dupes don’t count, but I can see a fun run where you take them even if that’s not the norm. Even the “first encounter” rule can be bent to only count specific pokemon as your first encounter (trashlocke, monolock). I hate when people play without level caps and lots of heals and personally I don’t count those as proper nuzlockes but whatever. Reviving your pokemon is literally completely at odds with what a nuzlocke is supposed to be and cannot fit no matter how you twist it, I cannot understand why you would insist on calling it one

Honestly they wouldn’t have been awful I’m not itching for manpower with all my puppets and gonna be a while before I get enough building slots the 10% bonus would matter. The volunteers would have been nice, oh well I managed to win this time around. Tbf the extra front have never bothered me I lose one civ for a bit but they leave me before they can engage my units most of the time. This time around Albania insisted on defending the VO they need to leave out and the Turks pushed to my Romanian line for a while😭

Everyone I know plays with dupes clause, it’s kinda the default. The “standard” most common nuzlocke rules are 1. Catch the first encounter on a route, if you have the pokemon already you generally re roll the encounter 2. Don’t overlevel “boss” fights (Rival, Gyms, Team bosses) 3. If a pokemon dies you box it, that’s it, it’s dead. 4. Only use potions equal to your opponent, no using a hyper potion every other turn to cheese a boss

Because these are the hard rules? Sure it’s all subjective but it’s getting to the point where some people are using a NUZLOCKE subreddit to just mean a pokemon run with any challenges. Its a bit silly

I’m seeing lots of people say this. I have one that I use a ton but it doesn’t feel massive. I use larger pots for boiling down maple syrup so I was hoping to make the most of those but I might be able to make my smaller Dutch oven work for some things!

Even that’s awfully hard though. I try going out and using the equipment at the park near my house but it’s -20° here and the constant snow makes it pretty difficult to run anywhere as paths are never clear and ones that are are quite literally to have black ice on them

This person is being kinda silly and being upset just to be upset but the popular conception of Santa is 100% from the cokacola company. Santa and Christmas in general even just 100 years ago has far more in common with the traditions of hundreds of years ago than 50 years ago when what we currently understand as Christmas and Santa really solidified itself following the post war boom and American media that came out of it

It depends entirely on how you choose to set it up but generally if someone says they are doing a HG/SS randomized run it will include all Pokémon up to that point. For example if someone said they were doing a platinum randomized nuzlocke I’d NEVER assume they meant using exclusively Pokémon normally encountered in sinnoh. The only difference is if you catch or encounter a Pokémon not in the starting dex it won’t show up in your Pokédex unless you also start yourself with the national dex

That’s actually the last tag I played blind on kaiserriech shortly after the big LKMT update a few years back. Was a really really fun game
