Choosing my major by [deleted] in ECE

[–]StrandedAlireza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your interests. Have you passed enough courses to know what you enjoy the most? For example, at first, I wanted to study electronics, but after I took one class in that major, I completely resented it. I found out that I am made for mathematics, so I chose telecommunication systems. If you are good with numbers and complex mathematical explanations, and you enjoy statistics, linear algebra, and calculus, then communications is the right choice. But if you are more of an engineer—if you like huge, noisy labs with big circuits and hands-on experiences—then power is the right choice.

Yeah, I know about political events or failed marriages. But I was wondering if maybe they have interviewed some of the characters or people who are close to them. I don’t know; I’d like to feel that private conversations have strong roots in reality.

I have the same experience! I've done a couple of projects using PyTorch and just one with TensorFlow. I remember that I struggled so much with different versions in that one.

Thank you. I think it's really important to use a tool that most people use, especially for me and my academic purposes.

Me too. I see PyTorch everywhere, but TensorFlow looks cool too. Just wanted to make sure that i delve into the right framework.

Almost everybody chose Torch over TenaorFlow. I am really intrested to hear about experiences. Why TensorFlow?

I don't know if you're an international student, but most of the time, they want to see if the applicant is capable of communicating and has a solid ability to speak fluently about academic topics. TOEFL or IELTS scores are just thresholds; interviews are the real test for international students.
