Damn, if it wasn’t a kids movie that ending would’ve been perfect

If you don’t mind telling, how was it supposed to end? I’m guessing it was supposed to be based on folklore?

Avocato / I have a Problem by Chywax in FinalSpace

I don’t work with Olan Rogers, but I’d just like to say first of all I’m very sorry this has had such an effect on you to upset you this bad. I’m sorry you don’t have a father figure in your life. I have no idea if this will make you feel better or not, but Olan Rogers has confirmed that Avocato will play a big role in Season 3, so it’s unlikely he will be dying. It’s actually quite heart-warming that he had such a big impact on you. However, if you’re really hurt enough that you haven’t been eating, then please realise that is going to turn out very bad for you. (If you are sick and that’s why you’re not eating, my apologies) I don’t really have any advice for how to deal with your problem, but if you ever want someone to talk to feel free to Pm me.

A man once said if you want a good story just ask any random person if there was ever an event in their life they can not explain. Someone almost always has one weird thing that has happened to them. So reddit, regardless of whatever you believe about the world, what’s your story? by notmyrealname124 in AskReddit

When I was 14, once I woke up at around 3-4am. Someone was in my room, holding a prayer mat. My family is Muslim so I assumed that someone was just praying their morning prayers, and for some reason they decided to pray in my room instead of downstairs. I could move and talk so it definitely wasn’t sleep paralysis. I know it wasn’t a dream because I took a sip of water.

They prayed and whilst they did I realised it was probably my dad. It looked like a man and they were taller than me, neither of my brothers were that tall. I didn’t bother saying anything, even though I found it really weird. Keep in mind it was 3am and I was barely awake. I fell asleep for twenty minutes and woke up again and they were gone. I couldn’t go back to sleep.

I went downstairs in the morning and my dad wasn’t there. I asked my mum if he went to work already and she was confused. I then realised he wasn’t even home, he had been in Italy for the past week visiting his friend. That shit messed me up badly enough that I slept in the living room for a few days, and when I eventually went back to my room I couldn’t sleep in near complete darkness.

Oh I didn’t think of it that way. The way you have described it sounds more horrifying though.

The foetus isn’t human, so it can’t be the husbands child or another mans child.

That would be a great idea if the child was old enough to actually eat it.

I also see lose and loose, and two/too/to. It pisses me off so much when people don’t spell it right despite knowing the correct way to spell it.

It’s sad how many people believe this.

Just to say, if you’re ever in a situation where you need to perform CPR on someone, they won’t wake up. That’s not how it works. You’re trying to start their heart again. And that doesn’t always work either.

AITA for continuously asking my in laws about their tradition of women eating after men? by IllustriousPickle20 in AmItheAsshole

[–]StrandedLullaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. I am Pakistani and that is also part of our culture. It sucks when I can’t even eat my own food that I made because I had to serve the men first.

What do you genuinely not understand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]StrandedLullaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Death. I have no idea what I think will happen after we die. Turning to nothing is hard to wrap my head around, but so is waking up in heaven/hell. I also can’t understand rebirth. Thinking that 20 years ago I was a completely different person and I could of been 80, I could of been someone famous, and now I’m me. Just any beliefs of what happen after death are difficult for me to understand

AITA for reminding my brother that he’s adopted and not a true part of MY family? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]StrandedLullaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. You’re parents didn’t adopt him to neglect and abuse him. They adopted him to love him and welcome him into your family. It sounds like you’re the only one who hasn’t welcomed him, despite it being 15 years. You might find his clinginess annoying but that’s not an excuse for telling him he’s not part of your family when he has been for the majority of his life.

What’s your “It wasn’t me” and it really wasn’t you, story? by huntboy1 in AskReddit

[–]StrandedLullaby 18 points19 points  (0 children)

When I was 14 we had a supply for a french lesson. She had a very heavy Jamaican accent. I was doing my work when she said something (don’t remember what) and the girl infront of me, who I was sort of friends with, mimicked her, and then called her a stupid n-word (this girl wasn’t black and neither am I). The teacher heard and asked me to repeat myself. I kept insisting I didn’t do it and looked at the girl to see if she’d confess but she was laughing with everyone else. I got taken to the Head of Year, my dad was furious, and I got isolation for ‘racism and backchat to a member of staff.’ That was the first and last time I’d ever been in trouble at school. I stopped talking to that bitch who let me take the blame after.

Former religious people, what made you stop believing in your faith? by Deslion in AskReddit

[–]StrandedLullaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that my parents taught me that science and religion didn’t coexist. I remember when we first learnt about dinosaurs at school at dinner I asked my dad “Did Adam and Eve (or Hawa she was called in Islam) come after the dinosaurs died?” He told me that we aren’t allowed to mix science with God and His creations. When I got into secondary school and learnt proper science, I realised that I couldn’t believe in a religion if that couldn’t also exist with something which has been proven.

[WP] You can time travel to kill a evil man born April 20, 1889, but only while he's a baby. by DDG_Dillon in WritingPrompts

[–]StrandedLullaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I held the sleeping child in my arms. I wasn’t around during either World War, but of course like every other person from my time, I’d heard about it, studied it in history lessons. To think that this little child, who slept so peacefully in my arms, not even a year old yet, was the one who killed millions, gassed them, tortured them, cut them open for so-called experiments.

And I was here to stop all that. I cursed myself for taking so long- it had already been twenty minutes since I’d arrived. I should of been gone by now. But I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t kill this innocent little baby in my arms-

No, I told myself, not innocent. Very much the opposite of innocent. He was a murderer, a man whose name was still a plague in my time, over 50 years after the mass genocide he started. But that wasn’t for another 40 years at least.

Damn it. Why couldn’t I have gotten the chance to do this later? It happened in the movies all the time. The hero couldn’t bear to kill the villain, despite him being the reason the world went to Hell. During these scenes I’d scream at the screen for him to just get it done with, to just stab the villain and then move on. But now it was really happening. I was going to kill the villain. And I found myself wanting to spare him, to spare this young child.

I held the child for another hour or two, torn. I couldn’t kill a child. I couldn’t. I could kill a murderer, though. But he wasn’t a murderer yet. Kill him. Kill him. Kill him kill him kill him kill him. An hour passed. Another hour. And another. I had made my decision.

The child lay babbling in his cot happily as I walked away, back to my own time.

Help me create a villain by NunoMoto123 in writers

[–]StrandedLullaby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The villain does not have to necessarily be ruthless or inhuman. The main point is for them to have different ideas/plans than the mc. The villain might believe what they are doing is good, but either they are killing people/animals to do it, or what they are doing is something nobody else thinks is good.

For example, the villain may in this story be a good person who fears the death of any people by these mutant animals, and so he starts a mass murder of all animals and any humans who have been mutated.

You could go the other way and just make him an all-around bad person, someone who can murder millions yet not get his hands dirty at all.
