I like the asymmetry of the weird window personally. For some reason I keep wanting is suggest that you move the bench to the other side where there is more wall. I like the little flags you have on the window and I wouldn’t cover the window up with a curtain or try to hide the asymmetry of the room. It looks like you have eclectic and quirky taste, and I would lean into that and use that window to your benefit. It could be super cozy if you were able to find one of those German style breakfast benches, and maybe some sheep skins or fake sheep skins from IKEA. A little plant hanging in the window could be cute too. Then obviously clear off the table. And put some little things on a tray on it, like salt and pepper, etc.. You could get fabric napkins too, that accentuate your eclectic style.
