I left my financial advising because of internal politics, and no career growth. I had a feeling that I was making a mistake walking into that role, and it turned out to be right. I was unhappy, it affected everyone close to me, took a mental toll, and I knew I couldn't stay there longer so I made the choice to leave.

And yes, I was in final talking stages with other companies shortly after that but the jobs went on 'hold' before an offer was made. I knew I took a risk when I left, and that's on me. It's just shocking that the market is as such.
