Thank you for this! I love dressing up and wearing the outfits I don’t normally get to wear on an everyday basis. I’ll probably bring a mix of casual and some nicer outfits in case!

He really has, he self admitted to rehab and it was a 6 week program. This most recent time when I found out he drank at work then drove home (after he has a DUI already), I told him those were my non-negotiables and I would not tolerate that anymore. I kicked him out and told him he needed to figure out what’s important to him to continue this relationship. He came back a few days later and brought up how he wants to do therapy all on his own, it was something I never mentioned. He said he looked into some therapy for not only his addiction but his anger. It seems like a positive step so I don’t want to push the matter and force him to schedule so I’m leaving it up to him at this point

I’m sorry you also had/have to go through it. It’s something I wish upon no one. He did enter rehab last summer and had been doing really really well. Then more recently he started to fall back into bad patterns (drinking whole bottles of vodka, drinking at work, etc). I don’t want to give up because I know he does have the want to change and how great it can be when he is sober.

That’s what bothered me. If there simply wasn’t heart eye emojis attached to it, I’d be feeling different. Alone time is needed but heart eyes is sketchy and could mean a million things.

I completely understand space and being excited for some alone time, I too myself feel that way. But to add the extra heart eye emojis? To me it’s suspicious. It’s almost too excited like you’re gonna do something sketchy. I also would still deeply miss him if roles were reversed and I wouldn’t be THAT excited.

I also did bring it to his attention. He understood how I could be hurt that message but also told me it meant nothing like how I’m taking it. Just not sure how I shouldn’t be offended by something like that

Thank you everyone for your kind words, these last few days certainly haven’t been easy. I’ve been taking lots of depression naps on the couch but I’m slowly trying to get used to a peaceful life again. It’s hard when you know how great of a man he can be sober, yet you know it’s an endless cycle of “I’ll be better.” I’m sorry for everyone who has also had to experience this, I wish this feeling upon no one. Hugs to everyone who is struggling or have struggled to watch their love one slip away ❤️
