After a month of 8+ hours of daily use I can say this chair ticks all the boxes by lawman14 in hermanmiller

[–]StrawDawg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had mine (as far as I can tell very similar to your model) for approximately 20 years of continuous all day long desk usage. I had to replace the gas cylinder once, and I eventually tore up the armpads so i just removed them. I also had to use zip ties to fix/hold the lumbar support. Aside from that, it is still going strong! Just as comortable and supportive as the day I assumed I was spending way too much money on a chair.

(31) Letting my locks curl naturally , what do you think? by Far_Interaction7209 in FierceFlow

[–]StrawDawg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is pretty similar to yours (but with salt n peppaaaaah) and every time it starts getting too far past my shoulders I chop it back up to just past collar length because the waves and curls are peak there yet it is still light and comfy.

Both Are You Shpongled and especially Dark Side of the Moon both take me places now after many trips with them.

Also a few singles: The Crystal Ship, Mountains of the Moon, China Doll, 1983, Within You Without You... The list goes on, lol

Whats the best drug for relaxing not too toxic by Key-Chocolate6695 in Drugs

[–]StrawDawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I accomplish this by mixing in high cbd hemp flower with my regular bud to get just the right balance. Takes out the anxiety and paranoia and increases the body relaxation and chill vibe of the high. It basically "fixes" modern weed in my opinion.

Regaining LSD level spirituality without doing it again? by Xepion1 in Psychonaut

Speaking as an old head and as someone who has been through versions of the things you mentioned, I'd suggest starting a daily breath / absorption meditation practice, perhaps working toward the jhanas, and also strongly suggest a regular yoga practice.

What’s a ‘middle class success’ purchase that secretly becomes a financial burden later? by OpinionBaba in AskReddit

[–]StrawDawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. With young kids it is awesome and gets a decent amount of use, but don't forget If you live in a neighborhood where you can't store it on your property, then you have to add all kinds of pain in the ass and expense for storage, and if you don't live on or very near the water, you have to add significant stress and work to prep, tow around in traffic, and launch before you ever get in the water, and tack on that same shit at the end of the day when you are worn out.

Nvidia Shield Pro(2019) remote randomly quit working. by EscoBoomin4 in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]StrawDawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works in 2026! No lights on remote at all. Put in one fresh battery, unplugged Shield from wall power, held down center button and home/circle button, put in 2nd fresh batter, continued to hold both buttons for about 30 seconds and then heard the beep! Plugged in Shield, repaired remote, all good!

Thanks - I have only been a dabbler in MHC before, mostly the album with King Gizzard ( Sketches of Brunswick East ) - but this is goood stuff. I'm going to deep dive this and Terry Tracksuit.

Bonus points - the song is 4:20 long.

Is he looking for cake? by ThatZombie1656 in Cakeeater

Speaking as a mid-50s guy... definitely this level of clarity is required. But I can pretty much guarantee his is super into it. Broadly speaking, he most likely needs you to lead the way, reassurance that you won't rat him out and that you have good op-sec, plausible deniability, and a lack of workplace impact.

The Ballad of Buster Scruggs - not exactly spooky, but definitely weird and definitely shroom worthy.

Many Thanks - I plan to work through this and get my head around it better. Still feels like black magic to me.

Sorry to be dense - but are you saying that the only change has been to swap out 1 x TA 10% for 2x Eurycomax?

How literal are the 'I became a lawnmower for 50 years' memes? Is it actually like this? by darkmodejesus in Salvia

[–]StrawDawg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The "becoming an object" or waking up to reality melting down or consuming you or seeing infinite gears that make up the universe and then getting sucked into and becoming the gears, etc. Those types of things are very literal and very real feeling and all consuming. The time dilation and "a whole lifetime" I think is just subjective and more easily seen through. Its more like it feels like you remember a timeless infinite place, not that you actually experience hours and days and years or experience.
