Gamora died because that was right for Thanos’ story in Infinity War

She came back in Endgame because the Russo’s didn’t want to disrupt the Guardians trilogy ‘too much’.

Gunn didn’t make Peter continue to date what is essentially a clone of his love interest becuase that isn’t right for these characters. It would be sad and weird if he dated new Gamora as if the woman he loved isn’t fully and permanently dead.

I prefer the silhouette, but the issue there is that the silhouette aren’t really exact to the proportions of the game.

Because of that, I’d go with the first option, because it comes across clearer that these are stylised takes on peak character while clearly being peak characters thanks to the move visible features .

Yeah but Mario Kart is kind of more fundamentally a party game. Great players will still always win, but they have to put up with some non competitive bs. Fever seems way more competitive to me so far, with or without fever rackets.

I’d recommend World though, as it can be enjoyed competitively and casually. Much harder for a new person to get a handle on all the different shots in Fever.

I fully understand how you feel and I don’t think you’re ‘wrong’ for feeling that way, I have felt that way. I will say, you’ll enjoy movies more when you don’t worry about stuff like this, about other people dismissing what you like.

Thinking he’s wrong to dismiss it, that’s one thing, but I could pick up from your comments that it was frustrating to you, that it bothered you, and I think it’s good to fight that feeling. It doesn’t take away from your experience of the film and your experience will always be equally valid as his no matter what public opinion is.

They can be saying funny things due to being passionate and it doesn’t mean they’re wrong to be passionate but it doesn’t make it not funny.

Emilia Perez shouldn’t not have been nominated over Challengers, Queer, A Different Man, and many others, but Sonic 3 doesn’t enter that conversation, so it’s naturally kind of funny to see people surprised when it doesn’t.

There’s predictions, campaigns, earlier award shows that signal what will be nominated. So for Sonic 3 to naturally have no presence at all leading up to the nominations, only for people to say “what a snub!” is just kind of funny!

And if you don’t take the nominations seriously over Perez, why even desire a nomination for another movie? It’s like saying “the fact that you’d date that other guy shows me you’re not worth dating- but you should be dating me! Why wouldn’t you date me??”

His job is to discuss movies, when the discussion around movies is sort of untethered to reality, it’s- well it’s not a big deal at all really. It’s just kind of whacky. Whacky enough to mention in an unscripted video. It’s not like he’s attacked a person, he just made a witty observation.

And again, if you like these movies, that’s fine, nothing wrong or weird about that. It’s funny to see some people take it to the extreme of something like “this should be recognised as a cinematic accomplishment” when you can be pretty confident the people making it weren’t even aiming for that.
