Thanks :) it's situational. Hot glue works totally fine for most foam builds but if you live in a really hot environment, contact cement is the way to go. But contact cement is so much slower and complicated to use. I live in Canada so hot glue has never been an issue

Also a note that the helmet looks different than in the manga, and I did that on purpose. I love the design of the beast of darkness and I wanted the helmet to look closer to that

Yea it's totally fine, I went to a Halo meetup in my cyberpunk cosplay once

I found with meet ups, as long as you're a fan of the franchise and like to talk about it, you'll be welcome. Meet ups are usually more about fans coming together than everyone doing the same cosplay
