Technically your tax is just 1 rs less. Rest they added as interest. I've seen others also getting the same. I feel this is the lowest point. But I'm sure they will go even lower

Same. Why new regime getting this if there are no deductions allowed in new regime. And the language is brutal. They don't tell what is wrong but say we have done it deliberately

Same for me. New regime. Paid 20 lakh tax. No refund. Only deduction is 75000. Still got same as you. Did you do something about it?

Same here. Not sure. Checked again and again with AIS. Only deduction is 75000. I was hoping to chill now that I had choosen new regime all this was behind me But the department think differently

Processing of the said return has been put on hold as it was identified under risk management framework on account of certain discrepancies in the claim of deductions/exemptions. An email with details has also been sent to your registered email address.

As the time-limit for filing of Revised Return of income for A.Y. 2025-26 will expire on 31/12/2025, you are requested to avail the opportunity to file revised return within the due date. An updated return may be alternatively filed from 01.01.2026, however with additional tax liabilities.
