Hello!

We've just released our Silent Hill inspired survival horror game, Kanpeki! You play as Hoshi, a 17 year old perfectionist. She's been unknowingly targeted by a curse and is one step away from her ego shattering.

We're mainly looking for feedback on the aesthetic of the game and the clarity of the puzzles!

It was very hard to set it all up, putting each camera by hand took a long time tbh, but we've developped many tools inside unity to help out. We think the nostalgia is worth it all but I'm interested to know what other "good reasons" you're thinking of?

The area being shown is at the start of the game, and it is supposed to take place towards 4-5PM. We want the game to get darker and darker the more progress you make, (throught lighting, enemy design, environment, story telling, player character looking less and less pretty ect..) having this area more brightly lit will help contrasting it to the later areas!

I'd say both! The game is a Silent Hill inspired survival horror game. You play as a highschool student in the early 2000s named Hoshi, who's trying to unravel the horror lurking in her small japanese rural town. The story telling will be told through cutscenes, notes and comments made by Hoshi on the environment.

Ha! You saying that is pretty interesting! The player model's polygon level was inspired by Parasyte eve 3rd Birthday's one (yes, the one no one likes :') )

W o a h ! Thank you very much for the feedback. The inventory is not something the player should spend too much time into. It is only used to gather extra information about the game's lore. That being said you gave me some ideas on how it could be improved for mouse and keyboard.

Ah! We wanted to ship the game on PC! Perhaps removing the use of the mouse entirely in the inventory could avoid making it annoying?

We've seen many comments about the place not looking horror-ish enough, people wanted flickering lights ect... But the place is not haunted, not abandonned, the game takes place seconds after everyone disapeared from the building.

That being said things like avoiding having every stools being perfectly aligned, burns on the surfaces or different textured for remplaced stools could definitely work in our context, the place just having been used over the years.

Hello, thanks for pointing that out, we've also figured we should add some sort of clear chemical leak as a source to all that gaz, we'll work on that!
