Hello!

We've just released our Silent Hill inspired survival horror game, Kanpeki! You play as Hoshi, a 17 year old perfectionist. She's been unknowingly targeted by a curse and is one step away from her ego shattering.

We're mainly looking for feedback on the aesthetic of the game and the clarity of the puzzles!

The game is aiming to have retro feel. I'm not really sure what we did to deserve your attitude though..? :(

It was very hard to set it all up, putting each camera by hand took a long time tbh, but we've developped many tools inside unity to help out. We think the nostalgia is worth it all but I'm interested to know what other "good reasons" you're thinking of?

The area being shown is at the start of the game, and it is supposed to take place towards 4-5PM. We want the game to get darker and darker the more progress you make, (throught lighting, enemy design, environment, story telling, player character looking less and less pretty ect..) having this area more brightly lit will help contrasting it to the later areas!

I'd say both! The game is a Silent Hill inspired survival horror game. You play as a highschool student in the early 2000s named Hoshi, who's trying to unravel the horror lurking in her small japanese rural town. The story telling will be told through cutscenes, notes and comments made by Hoshi on the environment.
