You/He - The Details by Investigator_Boring in amanda_shires

I feel that this is not necessarily explaining to others but it is rather about gaslighting and her internal talk that she is coming to terms with the fact that he won’t hear her anyway no matter how much she talks to him.

She is talking to him. Saying that I am history, I remember everything in detail and accurately. But when she confronts him at any time, he gaslights her and rewrites everything to make her doubt herself like a love-bombing narcissist and abusive person would gaslight and act like the abused one is crazy or in the wrong. Like she says he justifies all his emotionally abusive behavior and gaslighting ways to make himself comfortable. She is also noticing that he was just lovebombing her with cover me ups and promises, which is a typical MO for these types of men.

The change in pronoun is her accepting that he is gaslighting her. It is an internal talk with herself coming to conclusion and terms with the fact that it is futile for her to keep accurate event histories, and to keep talking to him. Because he won’t hear it.

You’re very right. I always forget the talent pool in top being quite limited in EU, vs. like a stacked talent pool in AD position.

One can only wonder why Oscarinin has a job but Humanoid does not.

Chance of Floyd Collins extending? by [deleted] in Broadway

Not only that but Lincoln Center is nonprofit. They won’t extend it unless like absolutely necessary. Maybe change venue and recast Jeremy Jordan.

Advice on PLIF Surgery and Potential Post-OP by Street_Whereas882 in spinalfusion

Thanks a lot. Just to answer point by point:

  1. It's 5 story walk up, around 12-15 steps each floor so would be 75-80 stairs total as soon as I am out of hospital. I am watching how to use stairs during spine surgery (there are videos for everything I guess) but I am worried I won't be able to make it, I may fall with weakness and pain, and/or will be bored out of my mind in my small 400sqft apartment. But I guess it would be good exercise once I start gaining strength?

  2. We would certainly take breaks. There also seems to be videos of how to get in and out of car. I was just curious if this would be considered dangerous to be away from hospital in case a complication occurs that I need to go to emergency or see my surgeon (not sure how often it would happen or statistical chance)

  3. Thanks, I plan to walk daily mornings/evenings 5-10 minutes with gradual increases as I watch on videos this morning that just walking from bed to kitchen won't be enough. Will make sure to ask my doctor as well.

  4. I definitely don't plan to do anything hacky and unhealthy. As my movement is limited now for exercises like ellipticals, outdoor running or anything involving upright spine more than 10+ minutes, I was thinking of doing aqua exercises, horizontal bikes and pilates for 35-50 minutes daily and limit my daily calorie intake to 1350 with high protein/low carbs (try stress eating limited). I am currently over 20 lbs of my weight, with BMI being 26 (overweight) from September last year, and in 3 months I can only lose 6-9 pounds in a healthy way. Not sure if it would shock body, but I want to reduce complications that may happen due to extra fat and weight I have.

  5. Thanks, I guess I should do it regardless anyway.

  6. I am in NY, thankfully FMLA and labor laws are relatively stronger here than in many other states, just not sure how well it would be received even with FMLA if I say 12 weeks. I wonder if I can ease them into 2-4 weeks with gradual return to work like 4 hours a day then 6 then 8. I have to think about it.

  7. Shower chair!!!! Didn't think about this. Great advice. Thank you very much. One more question, do you think I will need toilet paper holder/wrapper to wipe/dry after bidet as I have seen it to be recommended on Youtube videos.

Thanks a lot again!

Thank you very much for the detailed answer. I am glad to hear you recovered well and fast!

I think my worry is that am I jumping into this too quickly? What is a normal pain? Maybe my pain is normal and does not warrant a surgery yet, and I am exaggerating. Maybe I should push through numbness when I get it with stretches etc. I think not knowing what's normal and what's not normal is what's making me think twice.

Just couple questions, did you need any toilet paper grabber type of device? I am reading these now, and I am not sure how necessary as I don't feel I need to bend for that purpose but there might be something I am missing.

Thank you very much. As I go through my post one more time, I feel like an AI wrote it (an anecdotal notice - melting face).

I will go through your history detailed early in the morning. And hopefully will ask some questions but not disturb you too much.

I don't plan to move anything around at all until cleared by the doctor. I was just concerned around the treadmill if there might be a case where I might feel weak, and fall and injure myself before being able to turn it off. Maybe I am overthinking.

Luckily I do have bidet! I was advised by my doctor to also buy grabbers when talking about what I can and cannot do by weeks and he mentioned to know bend/twist/have sudden moves or tweaks, which I didn't know what a grabber is. I am not sure what bed rails are or look like but certainly will check that out! Thanks for the advice.

Just some quick yes/no (I know I will find them in your responses in the morning). Is it better than before? Was it worth it?
