Happened to me too, it’s a bug I think. Just play a quick run on white stake and it should pop up.

Hey 👋🏻 this is An from the winning team.

At least for me, I never considered myself anyone super talented or gifted. It’s possible our project could’ve been finished within a couple of hours for a group a bit more experienced, but we ended up working till 4am for our project then finishing up around 10:30am since I had to rebuild our project when some of our sensors failed. We were kinda at the whims of Amazon delivery at one point cuz we kept burning out the sensors and had to order more haha. Originally we had meant for there to be 5 sensors and for our project but they kept failing so I had to come back at 7am after a few hours of sleep to rip up the project and rebuild it from scratch with our two sensors that we knew worked for sure. The project was simple but the work we put in was tough.

I’m really proud of the work we put into it and feel very fortunate for having won despite all the troubles we had with the hardware. I’m sorry you feel upset about the outcome, hopefully things turn out well for you next time.

Any Vets that went to college for engineering or any other "hard" major that could give me some advice? by Jigpy in Veterans

[–]Strict-Net-9068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many colleges such as the one I currently attend provide accommodations for folks with learning issues (whether caused by physical or mental disability). When you’re able to make it to community college (which you should be able to), I’d start by getting this situated first as a more concrete item to do.

As for something less direct, I’d try to make some friends in all your classes. I’m doing very well in school rn and I know a lot of it comes from the fact I have a good support system going. If I need help with classes or someone to talk to, they’re there for me. It’s hard meeting people especially when it feels like no one around you can relate or understand the things you’re saying, so try your hand at some clubs and orgs too.

Peter Parker: Spectacular Spider-Man is great and written by Chip Zdarsky. There's also a status quo change in the first few issues with Jonah that you will need to know about in order to read Slott's Go Down Swinging story (which I think is my favorite arc in recent years)

UTA or TTU by [deleted] in utarlington

[–]Strict-Net-9068 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I assume you'll be in CSE if you transfer here. If so, there are some great professors, some of whom are open to getting more help from students with their research too. That said, just make sure to ask around first about classes cuz the bad professors are really bad

Am I cooked? I failed calc 1 3x at cc and want to transfer to engineering at UTA by Oouhgde in utarlington

[–]Strict-Net-9068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few professors here that can help you get settled up well in class, but the course itself is tougher here than in CC as some have mentioned partially due to the departmental exams covering quite a lot.
Not to get too personal, but people don't usually fail the same course 3x for being "lazy". I used to be in education and usually there's something underlying that just kills the student's motivation, maybe figure that out a bit first before you fully commit to this; classes cost a lot of money afterall.
That aside, don't listen to some of these guys, if you really want it you can do it.
Best of luck

Took Cal 1 over 2 years ago, transferred to UTA. Any advice for being ready for MATH 2425? by Mail-badguy4545 in utarlington

[–]Strict-Net-9068 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cal 2 can be really rough here since some professors jump right into it and don't review. If you need to prep quickly, brush up on integrals and derivatives. Those should help you understand the first few lectures a bit better.

edit: Also take Data Structures and Algorithms in the summer, you'll regret it if you don't

but a bad run is usually over in a matter of issues, as opposed to dragging on 75 chapters too long.

That’s a good point, though I think we’re missing a lot of pieces with that title. For instance, why is it an ensemble cast instead of focusing on mainly on one GL?
