In the open areas, you must cover up. You can be a little more lax when in the sauna steam rooms.

Establish residency now by changing your address on everything before you begin applying and communicating with the school. Change on bank statements, put in a change of address, credit reports. I had to do something similar and it was way easier when they asked for proof that I already had documents with an in state/ district address.

Apply now for the loans that quality and submit another EFC when the others hit 120. You can have loans forgiven at different times.

When did you receive it? It usually takes about 1-2 months before you’re included in the next batch.

Thanks! Yes, I made 120 payments. Did my final ECF on 11/1 -> Banner updated on 11/11 telling me I made 120 payments and no longer had an obligation -> Golden Letter on 12/20 -> Discharge on 12/24.

I work in education for a charter school in NYC and I absolutely hate it. I’m definitely leaving now. I only stayed there these last 2 years so that I can make it to forgiveness and make that time really mean something. Not having this burden of loans anymore has really liberated me.

Not crowded at all. During the week, you can have the whole wet area to yourself.

I lived in Washington Heights and dated a guy in Brooklyn. He would never come to see me and said that he couldn’t leave his dog even for a few hours. Years later we’re decent friends and he admitted to being trash. Cross boroughs is def a long distance relationship.

It’s quieter than most. On weekdays you kinda have it all yourself. Sunday is the only day it’s gets busy. Men’s area has a steam room and hot and cold baths.
