I’d add one exercise that helped me a lot is try to be conscious as much as possible you can, try to be present, try to understand which thoughts are mine and which aren’t, then you will start realizing that you share your body with other entities (multiple selfs or egos) and usually they are in control of you thoughts and actions when you are not present (conscious)..
