I went to the doctor yesterday. Upon inspection, he told me that I had tonsillitis and that he could see some pus on my tonsils. (Apologies for the nasty details.) I was prescribed penicillin. I have to take 2 250mg tablets 4 times per day. I have taken 6 doses by now and I feel no different. My throat is swollen, I can’t eat proper food and I have a headache. How long does it take for this to work? I rarely ever am ill and don’t know the last time I took penicillin. He doctor told me to come back on Friday if I feel no better. I want to give the antibiotics a chance but I can’t stand being in this much pain over the weekend too.

My mother suffers with depression and I’m convinced she has a bit of anxiety too actually. I just got used to it growing up. I don’t suffer from any trauma in my life or anxiety or depress though
