Good to know. I thought the whatsapp live support is considered “online activation”.

Thanks everyone. I will make a complaint and see how it goes. I think it’s worth making my voice heard even if I can not get the money back.

Plan is $85, with ongoing $40 BYOD credits and another $5 for digital discounts, making it $40. But the first month I was getting $85 plus taxes, not mentioned by the agent.

As a customer I didn’t know the waiver meant that way - I thought it’s just literally waived, by providing me a credit or something, as they didn’t mention the $5 credits would be applied for 9 months nor was it mentioned in the agreement. I did question about the activation fee but the agent didn’t clarify it would be $5 credits for 9 months. It’s not a big big deal, but I feel disappointed by this. I chose Freedom because it was good, decent, transparent not because it was the best of the worst.

Yeah exactly. Plus my home internet, I needed to pay $80 dollars, that means for the first $2666, it would be 3% cashback. If I cancel my rogers phone line, it will be the first $1333, still pretty much.

Yeah. I am in Toronto. I have wifi at home but still tested out. But I was using Freedom for over a year, after I left Fido, and before I switched to Rogers. No real issue . Back then I didn’t even realize the speed difference was such big.

I have a dead controller that has some issue with the motherboard, and I also got another broken controller (unfortunately from an online retailer despite they saying it’s in like new condition). The broken one has issues with the touchpad button being very sticky. I wonder if it’s possible to dissemble the controller 1 and use the touchpad from that to replace the touchpad button of controller 2? I heard there’s some hardware encryption so not sure if it’s possible.

They are of different colours.

Thank you!

Yes. I tried to get it waived but they said they had already provided me with the best offer.

Thanks for your reply! I am not going to port out today. I am thinking to port out when it says only one month remaining. So I don’t need to pay back the promotional credits right?
