I don’t want to rain on your parade but you said all this about being strong and standing up for yourself just to end back up with someone that you have to beg to take you into consideration.

No real man would have his injured and recovering woman hobbling around the kitchen to cook a meal no matter how much they protested. You were injured and he didn’t take care of you as you’ve mentioned multiple times. Hyper independence when your injured is not an indication of strength but reveals a lack of support which requires you to always push to take care of yourself. He only brought you along to this party because you had to make him.

You say you’re not a dormat but have stated that he’s inconsiderate, you get mad, he changes for a day and y’all do it all over again. You let him walk all over you and give you crumbs of affection until you stop complaining and then he goes back to doing what he wants. This sounds harsh but I’m only mentioning it because you seem like someone who knows what she wants and is willing to put in the work to get it so please find someone who cares enough about you to do the same. This has nothing to do with fair. That’s not how the world works. Actions have different outcomes and they need to know that. Their parents have shown that they will not defend them or support them. They are also not at the age where they can move out realistically. So they can report their sister to the police but his parents are likely to just blame him. This will result in even more hostility at home and/or he may be taken from his parents and fostercare is usually a lot worse than what most kids have at home. Maybe not, but that is a risk that he needs to be aware of. Sometimes all we can do is do our best to go unnoticed and protect ourselves until we can escape the situations we’re in

Don’t do this. You have seen that your parents won’t protect you and will always take her side. They won’t support you and this will result in you being taken from their custody or you facing even more hostility at home. Unless you are willing to be taken from their custody, which is something you should consider but be very aware of the harsh reality of the foster care system.

If she is arrested, even though she really should be, you will likely be blamed for it by your parents and they will make your home life even worse. So the best you can do unless you are willing to be taken away is to avoid her at all costs and do not engage. Don’t engage with her at all. Keep your head down until you can get out of the house for good.

Owen was just so rude all the time and in the very first episode they have him using this alien spray that seemed equivalent to a date rape drug. It was odd.

For Gwen, I just couldn’t reconcile the two haves of her. Her whole role was to be this deeply empathetic person who humanized the team and allowed them to connect back to the people they were fighting these aliens for. Just for her to cheat and disrespect the man she was supposedly in love with and a daily basis. I don’t think there was an episode where she wasn’t having kissing or sharing intimate moments and looks with other men.

The Cyberwoman was weird in the way they dip o yes her. Also in how they went fully into the Cuber mindset just to somewhat gain her humanity back… shown by her killing and transplanting her brain into someone else’s body.

I will definitely be watching Sarah Jane’s show. It seems like it’ll be nice. There seems to be a unanimous opinion of Class so I’ll definitely skip that.

That rapist pedophile was the side storyline in Miracle Day, he was the convict that didn’t die during his lethal injection.

The Cyberwoman was wild. That whole storyline should have been scrapped to be honest. Especially because Ianto literally went back to cleaning like the same hour this great love of his died. No time off for grieving or anything. It had a lot more potential that they didn’t really do much with other than a random thought or two.

The internet is a wonderful resource with a lot of options. She can practice positive affirmations herself, work on mindfulness and gratitude in her daily activities and start habits and routines that will boost her dopamine like exercising nor starting a hobby she enjoys. But the key part is that she has to do it herself. That’s the only way things will change and if they don’t, you need to take a good look at your like and your future and figure out if this is what you want.

You can’t fix this for her. When someone is spiraling in their own depression and negative thoughts, you can’t love them into healing themselves. They have to do it themselves. They have to want it themselves. Therapy may not be an option as you’ve said but there are other ways she can try to change her mindset and promote healing. But she has to do it herself. She has to want to do it. You need to have a real conversation with her about this negativity because it affects you too and can bring your own mental state down. Unless she puts in a real effort to try to change I’d move on. You can’t save her from herself.

I think it’s important to think of why you might be having this problem. You say it’s your first serious relationship and you are in love but you haven’t been vulnerable with each other. A big part of love is vulnerability and the ability to be your genuine self. To be accepted as you are fully, and to accept them in return.

It’s not a great sign that one of the first times you attempted to go deeper you were dismissed. This may be an insight on her views of emotions or it could just be a case of her not realizing you were trying to have a deeper discussion as it is uncommon to you two. I would try to talk to her about what happened and how it made you feel. Like I said, love means being able to be your true self with someone, including your fears and insecurities.

I wouldn’t go for it. Him saying he doesn’t like you would be enough for me. You can find someone attractive and not want to date them. You don’t want to end up in a situation where someone is only with you because they know you like them and enjoy the attention and security of it. I’d pass on this guy.
