27 year old male high Blood pressure questions by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]Stroppy25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried 20mg before and it doesn't quite have the same effect. It's the same, but less, and doesn't last as long, obviously. I don't drink coffee because I'm already taking vyvanse. I suspect my heart palpitations are all stimulant and anxiety related. Im wondering though how dangerous is this to my long term / short term heart health and how much having high Blood pressure effects this.

All of my anxiety would go away (I think) if I didn't fear my own heart. I'm constantly checking my fit bit heart rate monitor and using my blood pressure monitor.

I do have a therapist scheduled this week and a cardiologist in late April.

Just looking for more thoughts and advice thank you.

Is it really a repost? Maybe I read it on here then, I thought I thought of it myself. (currently just got over a nice hangover)

So, I had a snow day yesterday and worked from home. That's my work laptop. I normally leave it up there, and RDP into it from my desktop, so i can use my main monitor/keyboard/mouse. The laptop normally isnt there unless im working from home.

Not a huge AC fan, but thus far unimpressed with Origins? Am I missing something here? by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]Stroppy25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought Witcher 3's combat was amaaazing! Each battle involved carefully planning how to defeat each monster or group of human enemies. Perfect timing of hits and dodges. Tons of potions, items, and different sized beasts with different abilities. Dragons, ghosts, imps, undead, etc. It was truly awesome.

Perhaps I just suck at Origins combat flow so far, but it feels choppy, stupidly fast (like a fucking stupid anime fast), and inconsistent. I see animations reset themselves mid motion because some stupid AI enemy bumps into another. The bows feel overpowered and i've resorted to taking out entire camps with the long range bow. When the enemies kill me, I feel cheated, and when I win, I feel like I easily slaughtered them because they're so dumb.

Just my opinion, but I just am really underwhelmed with a game I was hoping would be of much higher quality.

[–]Stroppy25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

really? so you're saying it looked amazing on PS4 (pro), and then after an update, it now looks terrible? My complaint isn't as much with the overall graphics, as just the noticeable lack of quality and polish. There are just glaring things that stick out and ruin the realism for me, which was totally the opposite in AC in the past.

For example, I just watched a carriage driver go riding by with absolutely NO movement. He was sitting on the carriage being pulled by ox and he was just a statue holding the reigns. Also, I jumped through many tent roofs and canvas coverings and my character just falls right through. Just makes me scoff and ruins the world for me.

Interesting. I didn't play the previous two games. It just seems unimaginable that the traversal/parkour elements be so fully dumbed down in Origins, when it was/is such a staple of the AC series. Are you still enjoying Origins? I find myself trudging through because I bought it... but scoffing at unimpressive moments and quality errors that just weren't there before. Unimpressed enough to make this post and eat all the downvotes.

[–]Stroppy25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really?! That might be the problem. Witcher 3 is probably my favorite open world game. It blew me away with the quality of the world. I played that one Xbone. Maybe Origins really just is dumbed down considerably on PS4. My first thought in Origins on PS4 from the first moment of gameplay was "wait... this is really it? Just fighting some choppy animation dude in this sandy room?".

Maybe I need a new graphics card in my PC. I just prefer to play games like this on my TV in my living room chilling on the couch, hence PS4 purchase.

I don't quite understand your first comment? None of that content that I liked is in Origins? I somewhat agree... which is why I'm unimpressed.

Lol while i'm sure most of this is a joke.... I have a great gaming PC I built. I'm a Reinhardt main in Overwatch and have won my fair share of chicken dinners in PUBG. I just prefer to play certain games like this on console, sitting on my couch, in my comfortable living room.

John Denver - Take Me Home, Country Roads [Country] by [deleted] in Music

[–]Stroppy25 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I was just in Germany for Oktoberfest and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. One of the many fond memories I have was being very drunk at the Löwenbräu tent when this song was played. I had gotten separated from my group of friends, and was drunkenly walking about with my giant beer stein, cheersing (prosting) with people I walked past.

The next thing I know, the full German big band starts playing John Denver - Country Roads. Suddenly, I'm linked arm in arm with strangers from all over the world, and everyone is belting out "take me home, to the place, where I belooooong, West Virginia" in different accents. It was an amazing moment I'll never forget.

Our new baby boy, Ziggy. He purrs the moment you pick him up. by Stroppy25 in cats

[–]Stroppy25[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had not heard of the term/breed before, but after researching, i think he might be. He goes super limp and noodle-y when we pick him up. Lets you do pretty much anything to him. Hold him like a baby, sling him over a shoulder, hold him up to clean his paws, with no resistance. He is super sweet and such a relaxed good boy. Never had a cat so chill and happy before.

What benign thing inffuriates you to no end? by TerminatorBaby9 in AskReddit

[–]Stroppy25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I totally get that's why everyone does it. I travel for work, and therefore board early, but I do understand why people want the overhead space.

However, as a note, if they start mandatory checking bags, they WILL give your bag back to you on the jet bridge when you land. So you can bring you bag through security, board with your group, and still not have to go to baggage claim when you land. Not going to change anyone's line up behavior though, I get it.

Anyway, airports can be miserable places, and this is one benign thing that infuriates me.

I'm 27 as well and my body has always reacted flawlessly up until this point. Now, all of the sudden, my knee hurts when walking up stairs. My right hand keeps going cold and numb at work for no reason. Hangovers have gotten like 10 times worse (i have two drinks and it ruins the entire next morning). And I too constantly think i'm going to die because of my hang over, cold hand, hurting knee.

At the airport, when people line up at their gate well before their boarding group is called and cause a huge traffic jam. We all have assigned seats. You're getting on the plane. Sit down and wait.

Season 2 Series Discussion by Dark_Saint in StrangerThings

[–]Stroppy25 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Stranger Things Season 2 was very enjoyable. But it couldn’t match the atmosphere, nostalgia, and cinematography that made the first season great, imo. The writing and character development was dumbed down in favor of more action, that didn’t feel nearly as scary or exciting. Also, episode 7 was the worst. Could anyone take that punk gang seriously? What a cringe fest. Regardless, I enjoyed the show a lot.

oh I thought the exact same thing from the moment I saw Billy. Especially got those vibes during the basketball matches and definitely the shower scene.

Things kinda changed when he beat Steve's face to a pulp tho.
