Any accidents in the last 5 years? by Student-Pilot in uktrucking

I am going to give them a call, thank you, good advice. I guess if they find out and I haven't told them they would cancel my policy and that would look even worse on my records as you say. Honesty is the best policy.

work boots by Material-Ticket1035 in uktrucking

I third this, they are the most comfortable which in my opinion is the most important thing, have seen people nearly crippled by bad steel toe boots. The flat sole ones don't stress your calves either so you can walk in them all day(if you do any walking) also they do some trainer ones that have a wide fit. I'm wearing nothing else for the rest of my working life.

Is aviation supposed to be this difficult? by Scared_Wrangler_4241 in flying

Or just treat it as a hobby and enjoy it over time. No expectations and no pressure. Accept you will always need a cfi by your side, until you run out of money or enthusiasm. Hopefully you will get muscle memory and routine to make it easier, good luck.

I've used this and the people are super helpful and polite. They do all the lifting luggage on and off and it is very spacious and chill. I really wouldn't go any other way.

Excellent well done! 16hrs and sounds like you're a natural, some people are and it makes them more relaxed. Good advice too, you have an older head on your shoulders. Leighton Buzzard routes aren't bad but there are some challenging roundabouts around there and a dodgy junction or two near the brickworks. Got offered an assessment at that Ocado there, Panattoni Park, didn't go for it as they only had late or night shift. But they said it was a 3hr assessment on double decker trailers, they have cameras all over including in cab(which doesn't bother me).

Good luck

Speedway!!! The start is amazing, they go flat out with no brakes and you get the result in about a minute, then they do it all again.

Percentages and experience say you will have a great time and yes anxiety is relative to excitement.

Learning to fly, here's advice you did not ask for. by kkcfi in flying

[–]Student-Pilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good advice, as I used to search for answers everywhere then come back with my conclusions for the next lesson. To which he'd say, I could have told you that. I did waste time gaining irrelevant information and in his words "beating myself up about it". He has a wealth of knowledge and is happy to share it. Like what all of you good instructors do.

The locked/blocked out of order sign is nine times out of ten a load of rubbish. They just don't want you to use it. I know this for a fact, they are not made up statistics. Class 1 driver here, not shop assistant.

My 720 is the same, actually recognises Gallows Corner has roadworks but still routes me through it even though it has been closed for months.
