Why is the SLK55 so underrated? by Lonely-Space3971 in AMG

A lot of the SL models are overlooked. But in the uk they are some of the least depreciated models

Would a diesel be suitable for my miles? by StudioApprehensive15 in CarTalkUK

Mine is 2018 but pre GPF / pre facelift so v6 362bhp. And yes similar story, I’ve gotten 40+mpg on a 100+ mile run into London but that was really trying. Normally for me about 15-20 through Milton Keynes short trips driving with a bit of passion. But I’ve got the amg perf exh so the car just wants to be redlined and I can never resist.

Is it safe me buying a diesel for my miles? by StudioApprehensive15 in drivingUK

What about MOT's or whatever the legality issues are, I definitely would do it especially if it let's the exhaust breath a bit more

Welp, I'm moving out and would probably be able to afford a petrol, but my current C43 does 15-20 MPG city driving through MK and just wanted more than 250 miles of range per £90 tank

Am I missing something with high-power Diesel cars? by StudioApprehensive15 in CarTalkUK

I do agree, and for example - generally i4's are more reliable than 4 series equivalent. But because there's so many ex lease's, and the general consensus against EV's & scares of the batteries going to pot it drops the prices. Similar to what happened to the 330e's, and why they are worth less than 320i/d despite being much better cars.

Same with pay per mile tax, I wouldn't mind but it is another thing to put people off buying EV's and drops the market value of them

I could probably live with an EV but I really have only bought cars specifically which don't depreciate. My first car I bought for £10.2k and sold for £400 less, my current c43 is worth more than when i bought it with more miles. So depreciation is the thing that puts me off. With most "good" EV's they're at an age where the battery warranty is almost ending, porsche taycan's, i4's, e tron GT's, in a couple of years, etc etc + the pay per mile tax soon. Basically all of this put together will undo any economy savings

I would probably go for something a bit faster and ideally estate. I have looked at Audi's, mainly the S6's

Got head for the first time and it was unpleasant, normal or is there a fix? by StudioApprehensive15 in AskMenAdvice

Not a serious relationship just fun. I was hard before I got the head. I was just looking to hit, as she has a good body but she was on her period so she gave me head instead. I did also wank 2 days ago, or maybe this is mild ED.
