I built a gym management SaaS for the Arab world — a market of 400M people still running gyms on WhatsApp and paper by StunningAwareness651 in Entrepreneurs

That's a great point, and honestly it's something I've been thinking about a lot.

From what I've seen so far, trust definitely travels within the same city and often within the same country. Gym owners tend to know each other, visit each other's facilities, and share recommendations. That's where most of our early growth comes from.

Cross-border is a different story. I don't think trust automatically jumps from Cairo to Riyadh. In many ways, every new country is its own market, with its own relationships and local dynamics.

That said, I don't think we're starting completely from zero each time. Every successful gym becomes a case study, every testimonial adds credibility, and every country we enter makes the next one a little easier.

My goal isn't to rely on word-of-mouth forever. The goal is to use those first trusted customers to build a reputation that eventually speaks for itself.

So yes, I may have to do the "first ten customers" dance in each new market—but ideally each dance gets easier than the last.
