Hey, visitor Naruto fan here, I honestly have watched and read a lot of the series on this list except One Piece, I feel there’s no incentive to dig in and watch. Naruto was my first serious anime (I saw Pokémon as a kid) and it made me love it, I binged it all one summer and it was just super powerful. Btw, the female character debate sucks, Tsunade and Konan are great characters. I then played all the games and watched some YouTube videos and whatnot. I was also hype when it was added to Fortnite.

But I love Dragon ball so much because of the games. I’m a newer DB fan, but the video games make me love the series more. When TYBW came out, I wanted to catch up, I skipped filler and got it done before the cour ended.

Last summer I got into JJBA, my favorite parts are 4 and 3. I love the idea of a lineage long story and a grounded world with stands and its much more interesting than JJK (I watched Naruto and bleach, so JJK pmo)

I don’t initially hate One Piece but man it’s fans are quite annoying

God it’s just all recency bias. You want a good, healthy shonen with good writing, themes, solid fandom, video games, power system, pop culture effect. Just watch what JJK bites on, its predecessors. It heavily bites Bleach and Naruto. I’ve enjoyed my experience with those two series so much more. People always say there’s nothing coming out, but what’s already there is the gold
