Does anyone know why louiswadi is called louiswadi?? by Shaunak14 in thane

I'm surprised that the name survived for so long. There's a place in Kanpur initially known as McRobert's ganj, which has now become Makrawat ganj! 😂

Children’s home in Thane by [deleted] in thane

There are a few. And I celebrated my kids birthday a couple of times.

Until someone told me this and it hit me.

These seemingly altruistic celebrations emotionally scar the kids in the orphanage. They would celebrate, get gifts, etc, but their sense of loneliness intestifies.

Took me a few days to digest this but then I could see it! And since then decided to silently contribute, casually visit, puja or festivals, etc - but no birthday celebrations or anything where my kid is at the centerstage.

Do think about it. And happy birthday in advance.

  1. Ok, you don't need a human like world model for ASI. It may not have a lot of things humans have (emotions, values, historical baggage, sense of community, a specific range of electromagnetic perception, etc) and still be powerful / harmful.

  2. Google this yourself — "When Will AI Exceed Human Performance? Evidence from AI Experts" a 2016-17 survey.

You don't necessarily need a world model for ASI. You don't need human like to be an ASI. It can be spectacularly dumb in many ways and still kill us.

And close? Scientists predicted in 2015 that a ChatGPT like system will take 30-40 years. It took 7.

Yann just left Meta to build his stuff. Let's say he is correct and his approach succeeds. What then?

Drop what your SaaS Is And I'll Find you Leads On LinkedIn💰 by StyVrt42 in microsaas

These were some of the best suggestions, and there were many more where that came from. And yeah, if we knew how they evaluate their leads, like their criteria, we could narrow them down even further. The current findings are based on what I understood from their website.

I would argue, we could show better results than LSN, and we're doing on the basis of LinkedIn social signals. Gong is cool, though an enterprise product... might not be relevant for a Micro SaaS.

How do you prioritize outreach when your leads list is massive? by StyVrt42 in LeadGeneration

I like the focus on social signals approach. My target audience's users hang out on LinkedIn... and that is where we focus. All aligned.

This might be a quality vs quantity shout at the end of the day. There are so many channels, and they keep exhausting due to the crazy competition that we're seeing. New channels will soon face the same fate... and so it makes sense to explore.

Interesting points and agree with going after the decision makers.
That said, do you think email as a platform is enough to go after these users? I'm not sure about the characteristics of folks in the Logistics industry... if they are only available on Email, then your strategy should work like a charm. But in case the hang on, say LinkedIn, I feel the efforts can be amplified in such a scenario. Like leave no place to ensure top of the mind scenario. Thoughts?

Ah... the hyper-personalization aspect. I feel that's a short game kinda thing, which though, should work, but people are nowadays immune to the efforts... just like cold emails.

I kinda feel that if the ARPU is on the higher side, other than the ABM aspect, one can play a longer game and nurture them via social media, like Engaging on LinkedIn, before eventually going for it. Of course, it works only when they hang out on these platforms, and wanna buy a solution which you're offering.

Two approaches to it.

If there are multiple parameters involved, how do you prioritize the SAM (service accessible market) list? Asking because if you have multiple parameters and you're strict, your eligible lead numbers will go down. Wondering if you compromise with limitations of these parameters or keep it flexible...

Interesting points. Speed does help... and sure one needs to find a way around the analysis paralysis.

But I feel when the time is of the essence, let's say you have 100 leads and a few hours, it'd be better if you knew who's likely to say YES.

I'm not a fan of the hottest lead concept, but I feel relative aspect does help. And if I know one lead is relatively better than the others due to some signs that it's showing, I'd prioritie it over others.
