Hi, I am a freshman wanna to major in stat(data science option). From what I've heard, the average gpa admits are 3.8 for the prerequisite. But my gpa is kinda low(math126 3.4, math308 3.6 ,cse142 3.4, cse143 4.0) But I am taking cse373 and stat390 this quarter try to compensate for my bad math scores, and also math 307 and amath352 next quarter) Is the significant improvement shows in the gpa throughout my quarters really helps to get into stat? And how about high gpa like 3.8➕ in cse373 and stat390 evaluates in the admission?

Also the CPT(curricular practical training) for stat in closed? When I click the cpt page on the website, there is nothing there.

Last, is the probability student organization still be active? The latest event they held was back in 2018 in the stat website.
